Last month I tagged a couple of articles by Rochelimit as needing copyediting, and when he removed one of the tags inappropriately I told him he should ask someone else to do the copy-editing. Immediately thereafter, several new accounts (all SPAs or near-SPAs) showed up and started editing these articles (which were all newly-created and on fairly obscure topics). When I asked Rochelimit about it, he said he knew nothing about it and that it must just be a coincidence, but this seems incredibly unlikely, and the fact that the new accounts mysteriously stopped showing up (and that the ones that had already shown up stopped editing) after my message to Rochelimit supports the idea that they are connected.<br>Requesting CU since I believe they might be sock accounts created by Rochelimit to create the illusion that other editors were making the edits that I had said it was a bad idea for him to make (and he stopped using them when I clarified that I meant for him to use the GCE), but if they are meatpuppets (specifically off-wiki friends or relatives) then they would probably still geolocate to the same part of the world and CU can check that.<br>I recognize the possibiliy that one of the four accounts, EmilyHauer (the only non-SPA, who actually made twelve apparently unrelated edits before editing a Rochelimit article), is unconnected to the other three and to Rochelimit, but it seems at least as likely that it is related to the apparent sock-farm that mysteriously appeared on this article last month as that it has no relation to any sockpuppetry. :::Bbb23 The diff you cite is me reverting an edit that did fix some errors, but introduced others, and was overall disruptive because of the removal of the maintenance tag. I don't feel it's appropriate to blankly revert an edit that might have had some positive effects, so I made some effort to keep the positive fixes, but I won't take responsibility for accidentally re-introducing another user's error because I just happened to miss one of the fixes. In my experience most users would simply blank-revert, without making any effort to ensure they weren't reintroducing errors. ::::Bbb23 If you look through a bunch of Rochelimit's articles and talk page comments, as I have (well, I checked a bunch of his WP:WAM articles and read his replies to me), you'll see that they have a high degree of variance in their English proficiency. When they are careful, they are perfectly capable of writing perfect or near-perfect English. The problem was that the first couple of copyedits they did themselves were not careful, so I said they should get someone else (the Guild of Copy Editors was what I was thinking) to look over the articles. If Rochelimit was creating a sock account to pretend to be a random good samaritan who came across these articles and immediately started proofreading, they would naturally be very careful when doing the cope edits in question wouldn't they? That, plus it's entirely possible (as I said further up) that they are not socks but friends/relatives whom Rochelimit considers to have better English skills and asked to come in and help him, which would still be disruptive and (I think?) is something CUs can check for. Note also that (again, as I said above), if this is what was happening, it is super-fishy that it stopped happening when I told him not to do it, even though he claimed no knowledge of it.

::::Rochelimit: No, I don't trust you, because the narrative you presented on your talk page is very difficult to believe. The only alternative explanation I can think of is that the accounts are all socks of someone with a grudge against you (this person?) who wants to make it look like you are socking/meating, I can't think of any other reason a new account would go to those specific articles and do exactly what I told you to get someone to do. That said, this is nothing personal, and I hope you don't take it that way. The reason I didn't notify you about it is because I thought you were automatically pinged when someone opened an SPI on you (I guess not).

outdent On second thought... Per my above reply to Rochelimit, I recognized the remote possibility that this was a joe-job by someone with a bone to pick. And the fact that it's continued (or, rather, resumed) while this SPI was open has convinced me. Webecoolalasdair, Claracurrier and Pratical-bookworm all look just as much like Rochelimit sock-/meat-puppets as the others listed above, but I think there's no way in hell Rochelimit would be so brazen as to do it with an SPI underway. The fact that it happened while this SPI was open, though, actually supports the idea that it's a joe-job. Striking all the above but not withdrawing the request for CU, since joe-job or sockpuppetry or meatpuppetry I can't understand why anyone would not want to get to the bottom of this.
  +
  +
Rochelimit Can you think of anyone who would want to frame you for sockpuppetry? I'd be happy to be proven wrong in all the above and to have the title of this SPI changed to the name of whoever is actually behind these accounts, but I might need a name.

Before seeking help from experts, students need to consider several factors. First, it is required to verify how many years a professional has been assisting students before availing help from him or her. Students also need to check the academic qualification of the experts before seeking their guidance.

A large addition has been made to the introduction of the article today. It is unsourced, which wouldn't be an issue if the material was sourced later in the article (per MOS:LEAD, the introduction should summarise the article), but that doesn't seem to be the case for all of the material added. It is also non-neutral in places (e.g. "the hard won resurgence of an independent Polish state" and "placing the state under the Soviet yoke"). I will inform the IP editor of this discussion, and will be partially reverting their additions if improvements cannot be made. I was asked by the anon editor working on this (I suggest you create an account, if only to get access to nice gadgets in preferences, etc.) to look at this. I think it is looking much better than it used to. Yes, there are some minor unreferenced parts, but not many (keep in mind each sentence needs a reference, otherwise end of paragraph is assumed to have them). Another part with problematic citations is the list of notable individuals, it also does not specify the criteria for inclusion. I am not fond of such lists, but I'll ping User:Nihil novi who dealt more with them in the past (IIRC).
  +
  +
If I was reviewing it for a GA, I'd point out as well:
  +
* 'History and settlement' is a weird heading, it is a bit like apple and oranges. Settlement (geographical distribution) should have its own heading on an equal level. A map would be very helpful here. Later, there is a section 'Geographical distribution' which probably would be a good place to merge this content too.
  +
* 'Culture, education and economic links with the old country' probably should not be part of the above section (Tthis content would be better of moved to 'Social issues' section I feel), neither should 'Political governance as symbolism'. The latter section reads very much out of place, and perhaps all of its content should be just moved to Polish Government in London.
  +
  +
Finally, see also indicates topics that should be discussed in prose in text. Good articles have very little see also content.

Aside from the 20th-century addition of the Bois de Boulogne, Bois de Vincennes and Paris heliport, Paris's administrative limits have remained unchanged since 1860. The Seine département had been governing Paris and its suburbs since its creation in 1790, but the rising suburban population had made it difficult to govern as a unique entity. This problem was 'resolved' when its parent "District de la région parisienne" (Paris region) was reorganised into several new departments from 1968: Paris became a department in itself, and the administration of its suburbs was divided between the three departments surrounding it. The Paris region was renamed "Île-de-France" in 1977, but the "Paris region" name is still commonly used today. Long-intended measures to unite Paris with its suburbs began on January 1, 2016, when the Métropole du Grand Paris came into existence.

The most famous player of the part in recent times was Laurence Olivier in his 1955 film version. Olivier's film incorporates a few scenes and speeches from Shakespeare's Henry VI, Part III and Cibber's rewrite of Shakespeare's play, but cuts entirely the characters of Queen Margaret and the Duchess of York, and Richard's soliloquy after seeing the ghosts of his victims. Olivier has Richard seduce Lady Anne while mourning over the corpse of her husband rather than her father-in-law as in the play. Olivier's rendition has been parodied by many comedians, including Peter Cook and Peter Sellers. Sellers, who had aspirations to do the role straight, appeared in a 1965 TV special on The Beatles' music by reciting "A Hard Day's Night" in the style of Olivier's Richard&nbsp;III. The first episode of the BBC television comedy Blackadder in part parodies the Olivier film, visually (as in the crown motif), Peter Cook's performance as a benevolent Richard, and by mangling Shakespearean text ("Now is the summer of our sweet content made o'ercast winter by these Tudor clouds&nbsp;...")

Richard Loncraine's 1995 film, starring Ian McKellen, is set in a fictional fascist England in the 1930s, and based on an earlier highly successful stage production. Only about half the text of the play is used. The first part of his Now is the winter of our discontent... soliloquy is a public speech, while the second part is a private monologue. The famous final line of Richard's A horse, my kingdom for a horse is spoken when his jeep becomes trapped after backing up into a large pile of rubble.

In the 1960s he was a reporter on This Day Tonight as well as being the presenter of 'State of the Nation', both on the ABC. Typhoon Omar of 1992, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Lusing, was the strongest and costliest typhoon to strike Guam since Typhoon Pamela in 1976. The cyclone formed on August&nbsp;23 from the monsoon trough across the western Pacific Ocean. After the two storms became more distant, Omar quickly strengthened into a powerful typhoon. On August&nbsp;28, it made landfall on Guam with winds of 195&nbsp;km/h (120&nbsp;mph). The typhoon reached its peak intensity the next day, with estimated 1‑minute winds of 240&nbsp;km/h (150&nbsp;mph), making it a "super typhoon" according to the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC). Omar weakened significantly before striking eastern Taiwan on September&nbsp;4, proceeding into eastern China the next day and dissipating on September&nbsp;9.

On Guam, Omar caused one death and $457&nbsp;million (1992&nbsp;USD) in damage. Strong gusts up to 248&nbsp;km/h (154&nbsp;mph) left nearly the entire island without power for several days. In response to the destruction, the island's building codes were updated to withstand winds of 250&nbsp;km/h (155&nbsp;mph), and insurance companies discontinued new policies for structures not made of concrete. While passing well north of the Philippines, the typhoon killed 11&nbsp;people and wrought ₱903&nbsp;million ($35.4&nbsp;million) worth of damage to 538&nbsp;houses. Omar then brushed the southern islands of Japan with strong gusts and light rainfall, causing ¥476&nbsp;million JPY ($3.8&nbsp;million USD) in crop losses. In Taiwan, scattered flooding caused three deaths and $65&nbsp;million in damage, mostly to agriculture.

One of the Centennial of Flight Commission's principal efforts was the development of the organization's website, a four-million-dollar development of an encyclopedia of aviation history (chiefly U.S. aviation history) including hundreds articles and thousands of illustrations. The site was maintained at the domain centennialofflight.gov by NASA, until budget cutbacks and server-computer problems forced its abandonment by NASA. Various groups salvaged parts of the site, and in 2013, a member of the American Aviation Historical Society (AAHS) donated the domain name [centennialofflight.net|centennialofflight.net] to AAHS to accomodate an archive, maintained by AAHS, of the original official Centennial of Flight website.

Welcome to Wikipedia! (TW)

New page

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
* Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
* Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
* Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
* No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
* If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to <span class="plainlinks">[ do so]</span>.
* Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
* Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: &#126;&#126;&#126;&#126; (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!<!-- Template:Welcomelaws --> –Ammarpad&nbsp;(talk) 08:34, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
