Chris Cornell fans have been asked to refrain from recording at the late singer’s Los Angeles grave site.

With fans regularly making the trip to Cornell’s grave at Hollywood Forever, officials from the famous cemetery have reached out to his management asking to spread the word about not recording video while there.

“We understand that some of Chris’s fans wish to video their visits at Hollywood Forever, but we’ve had confirmation that it’s against their policy,” Cornell’s management team shared on Twitter. “We’d like to thank everyone for their understanding.”

The message came with a copy of the letter from Hollywood Forever to Cornell’s wife, Vicky, asking for help in quelling the practice.

“I know you love Chris Cornell fans! We do too!!! They are always respectful of his space and leave sweet gifts and notes,” the letter begins.

The letter goes on to detail the cemetery’s strict policy against taking video, and that security will be instructed to intervene if they spy anyone breaking the privacy rule.

“I promise they will be treated kindly,” writes Noelle Berman, the Hollywood Forever Director of Private Estates.

“It is our honor to have your husband with us,” Berman adds. “We love that so many of his fans visit and spend the day here. Every time I pass his area, there is someone there visiting Chris. It is beautiful to see, and reminds me how special and adored your husband is.”

Carrie made the revelations in a letter to her fan club, obtained by People.

“I haven't been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” she wrote. "In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike [Fisher, Underwood’s husband] that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in.”

“I honestly don't know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn't much, much worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way.”

In her message, Underwood admitted that she has been reluctant to get in front of a camera and added it’s unclear how the wounds will affect her appearance.

“I am determined to make 2018 amazing and I want to share things with you along the way,” she wrote. “And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different.”

In late December, Carrie shared a selfie with most of her face covered by a seasonal scarf. As her recovery continues, the former American Idol has millions of fans on her side.

A Perfect Circle Bring in the New Year with ‘Disillusioned’: Listen

Posted: 02 Jan 2018 05:38 AM PST

By Jon Wiederhorn

On December 31, 2017, A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan announced that fans would soon receive a “New Years Treat.”

Related: A Perfect Circle Release Video for ‘The Doomed’

“Have your headphones ready Tuesday Morning. New Years treat,” he tweeted. “Find a nice spot under a tree, by water, mountain view, etc. #crypticenough? #apc2018.”

Sure enough, this morning (Jan. 2) the band dropped “Disillusioned,” from its upcoming album. Softer and less apocalyptic than the previously released “The Doomed,” the tuneful, but ominous song features melancholy vocals, atmospheric guitars and a delicate, keyboard-dominated midsection.

“‘Disillusioned’ comes from a place of overcoming the slide into the numb,” said Billy Howerdel in a prepared statement. “It speaks to reconnection and a fresh start to a new year.”

Maynard James Keenan added: “Attempting new approaches to composing can be intimidating. Especially with an established project with such a recognizable sound. But sometimes you just gotta take the first swing. Only way to grow.”

A Perfect Circle’s first album in more than ten years is due later this year. The follow-up to 2004’s eMOTIVe is not yet titled.

Ed Sheeran Plays for Lisa’s Heart on ‘The Simpsons’: Watch

Ed Sheeran may be a heartthrob to young ladies across the globe, but in Springfield, USA, he has to struggle to impress Lisa Simpson.

In a brief trailer of next Sunday’s show (Jan. 7), Sheeran performs on piano along with Lisa while her dad, Homer, bangs on the wall to try to make them stop.

“Oh no! They're playing in time to the beat of my banging!” he groans.

Lisa, too, seems less than thrilled by Sheeran’s performance. At the end of the jam, Sheeran remarks, “You didn’t applaud.”

Sheeran, whose character is inked with a tattoo of Blinky the three-eyed fish, was invited by The Simpsons producers to play a role in the show. While he happily accepted, he was unable to leave the UK, so he recorded his part over the phone.

The episode, titled “Haw-Haw Land,” is a spoof of the film “La La Land,” and features Sheeran’s character, Brendan, locked in a battle with Nelson Muntz to win over Lisa, reports NME.
