Fun fact: not all Bachelor in Paradise romances lead to disaster. Every now and then, a couple emerges and they stay together. In fact, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert got engaged, got married, and then Jade and Tanner welcomed their first child!
Jade Roper recently shared a precious breastfeeding photo and got slammed for it.
Now that the dust has settled, she's speaking out.
it started with this photo and the accompanying caption:
"Mommy PSA! Nursing Emmy has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life (I adore these after feeding snuggles, too)."
It's not just a source of nutrition -- it can be an incredible period of bonding.
"It's so incredible how our bodies transform during and post-pregnancy. But all nursing mommies out there know how difficult finding a good, functional nursing bra can be!"
Well, here comes the product placement.
"@thirdlove has created a comfortable, practical and beautiful nursing bra that FITS! You go on their site and take a quick fit finder quiz and they ship the bras straight to your door."
But at least she offers a promo code.
"Even better they offer a 100% fit guarantee! They have a wide range of styles and sizes for every woman. (I also got a beautiful lace bra)."
"Use my code JADE15 for 15% off your first order! #mythirdlove"
As precious as the picture, snapped right after she was breastfeeding her adorable baby, was ... she got some backlash, and took to her Instagram story to address it.
"So, I had some comments about the picture I posted of me and Emerson after I was breastfeeding," she said.
"People telling me they don't look like that when they breastfeed and that I was setting up a standard that's impossible to live up to."
She did look super nice in that photo.
"The truth about that picture is I had a photo shoot the day before and I hadn't taken my makeup off, so that's literally the day before's makeup."
She shouldn't have to explain why she had the gall to look nice in a photo ... but that definitely explains it.
"And it was slightly staged -- we positioned Emerson just right to make the picture [work], but that was literally right after I had fed her and she had fallen asleep on me and we do have those moments where we snuggle so I don't get what's so unreal about it."
Any photo that isn't a candid is slightly staged.
She clarifies that her real life is a good deal messier.
"People were telling me I shouldn't cover up," she said.
"I was actually getting flack for putting a cover over my baby which I just don't understand why that would be something people would give me s--t about."
You can cover up your boob or you can leave it exposed, folks.
That's your right as a human being. One person's campaign to go topless should not be read as a mandate for another to cover up.
"And my baby is feeding right now and I'm still going to cover up because that's what I feel the most comfortable with."
"I feel like I don't need to share all of that with the world, that's not the message."
"It's just that women should be able to do what they feel like they need to do for their babies."
Exactly! She can cover up or not. Again, her choice.
"And my baby is feeding right now and I'm still going to cover up because that's what I feel the most comfortable with."
"I feel like I don't need to share all of that with the world, that's not the message."
"It's just that women should be able to do what they feel like they need to do for their babies."
It turns out that her reply to the backlash was well-received, because she posted again -- with this throwback pic.
"You guuuuys, thank you so much for all the support I've received about my Instagram stories earlier," she said.
"It truly, truly means so much to me and I tried to read every kind and empowering message from each of you."
"I was very emotional earlier. I think it's because my nursing relationship with Emmy is one of my most favorite mommy experiences (even though it's had its ups and downs, because it's an ever changing experience)."
"Thank you for letting me be myself and express how much I love being a mom and thank you for letting me express myself when I feel like I'm failing as a mom (or failing others) or I feel unsure of myself."
She finishes that photo's caption with:
"All the moms out there that support each other, you're the best. *This is my favorite post-feeding picture of Emmy and me, I can't believe she used to be this little.'"
It's a shame that she got backlash for looking her best for a photo. Famous people don't owe you the nitty gritty messiness of human existence.
It's also a shame that people give her a hard time for covering up. That is every bit as bad as giving a woman a hard time for not covering up.
What's liberating for one woman can be horrifying for another.
If she had to get criticized for something, you'd think that it would have been for posting what looked like a sponsored post without following FTC guidelines on the #ad hashtag.

It's only been 18 months since Blake Lively welcomed her second child, and yet somehow, she's rocking a summer body in February.
That may be almost impossible to believe but the actress posted photographic evidence on her Instagram page today:
"Turns out you can't lose the 61 lbs. you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through Instagram and wondering why you don't look like all the bikini models," Lively captioned the pic.
"Thanks @donsaladino for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud."
Funny, in shape, and married to Deadpool?
"It's not fair!" we cry, as we wipe Trump-colored Cheeto dust on our threadbare pajama pants.
Yes, yes ... we know Blake has worked hard to get in such stellar shape, and we applaud her for it.
But what about those of us who don't want to work out, but still don't want an ounce of fat anywhere on our bodies?
You can see the predicament we're in!
Amazingly, this is not the first time Blake has hit the gym hard soon after bringing a child into the world
"After I had a kid I thought, 'Okay, this is what my body looks like. This is amazing — I earned this body,' " she said in 2016.
"'And it's not as good as it was before I had a kid, but, oh well.'"
Can we apply that mentality to eating one of every item on the Taco Bell menu in a single sitting?
It's not as hard as having a kid, but we're still proud of it, dammit!
Blake says that after her first kid, she was essentially forced to dedicate herself to nutrition and working out due to the fact that she was cast as a wetsuit-clad surfer in The Shallows.
"I've never been in that great a shape in my whole life," she said.
"So to do it after having a kid was actually really nice. Because you see your body after having a kid and it's beautiful because you just gave birth, but it's also 'Oh my god, this is not what my body looks like.' You feel like you're never going to get your body back again."
Okay ... there's our excuse.
We're never gonna be cast in a Hollywood movie, so it's okay for us to continue living the slovenly life.
We're feeling better already.
Anyone wanna split a pizza?

What began as a missing person's case has ended in tragedy. Kim Cattrall's brother has died at 55.
When Kim's former costar, Sarah Jessica Parker, reached out with her condolences, Kim Cattrall shot her down.
As you can hear below, no one is more flabbergasted at this than Andy Cohen, who has waded into this feud to defend Sarah Jessica Parker.
After Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall's missing brother's body was discovered, she shared the crushing news on Instagram.
Among the flurry of sympathetic responses was a comment from Sarah Jessica Parker.
"Dearest Kim, my love and condolensces to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. xx"
Kim's reply was ... intense.
"I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker."
The message, a full post on Instagram, continued, and Kim Cattrall made herself every clear.
"Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend."
That's ... extremely harsh.
"So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona."
While Kim Cattrall is certainly grieving, the level of enmity here is palpable. And it's also nothing new.
This is where Andy Cohen comes in, speaking on his SiriusXM channel, Radio Andy.
"I thought it was fake. I was like, ‘There’s no way Kim Cattrall has posted this on her Instagram.’ This is a women who is in the middle of grieving the loss of her brother, which is tragic and sad."
It is a crushing loss. But Kim really did post that on Instagram.
"She accused SJP of exploiting a tragedy … She follows Kim on Instagram, Kim posted about her brother dying, and she expressed her condolences on the post … She posted it in a comment!"
Posting it in a comment, which is quickly buried under other comments and doesn't draw people to your own page, is generally seen as more respectful if you're walking on eggshells and don't want to be accused of exploiting a situation.
Andy Cohen goes on and continues to express his bewilderment.
"I would not call that ‘exploiting a tragedy.’ What was she supposed to do? Say something bad? I mean, I don’t understand."
Most people are lucky enough to not understand what Kim Cattrall is going through, but that doesn't necessarily excuse an entire post dedicated to blasting a former friend over condolences.
"I also don’t like it that people are characterizing this as a catfight."
The way that Andy sees things, it takes two to tango, this thing -- whatever it is -- seems to be very one-sided.
"There’s only one person fighting here … I even kind of, admittedly, didn’t try to stir it up on Watch What Happens Live when Sarah was on, but I was like, ‘What do you think?’ Sarah only said the nicest things about her … It’s a catfight of one from where I see it."
Admittedly, we're inclined to feel the same way as Andy does -- rudeness and hostility on this level is shocking.
At the same time, if someone's made it clear that they don't want you in any way to be part of your life, it's good to respect that, even if you find it hurtful or unfair.
Even so -- one wonders what sorts of things people would say about Sarah Jessica Parker if it became known that she had said nothing about Kim's loss. It's a no-win situation.
Listen to the rest of Andy's comments and decide for yourself if you agree with his characterizations.

Say what you will about Kim Zolciak, the woman knows how to hold her fans' attention.
When Kim's not feuding with Nene Leakes, she delivers the other sort of content that's proven time and again to be social media gold.
We're talking, of course, about nudity.
Sure, nude photos of Kim Zolciak are nothing new, but as long as they continue to get a response from her social media followers, you can be sure Kim will continue to post them.
Kim knows what her people want, and she gives it to them readily.
Don't get us wrong - the woman has made some serious missteps over the years.
(It'll be a while before we're able to forget about Kim posing nude with her daughters.)
But for the most part, she sticks with the formula that's proven so successful over the years.
It's a combination of lifestyle porn and actual porn, and the Zolciak faithful eat it up every time.
Sure there are some haters in every bunch, and more than a few followers reminded Kim that she's a mom, or asked some variation of "where's ur top?" but as usual, the response was overwhelmingly positive.
In fact, even though she's clearly on vacation with her husband, Kroy Biermann, Kim returned to the 'Gram to fill fans in on exactly what she's up to these days:
"This is our last little hoorah before season 7 starts of Don't Be Tardy," she told her loyal followers.
"A quick vacay…refresher if you will…before the hustle and bustle baby."
"It's literally just us. There's not a soul in sight baby. It's just sooo romantic and beautiful… The things I would do for you."
So, yes, it seems that yet another season of Don't Be Tardy is coming your way.
In other news, Don't Be Tardy somehow hasn't been canceled yet!
So it seems that even though Kim has been booted from the main cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she remains 100 percent on her grind.
Even when she's on vacation, she's still all about those likes and shares.

Jenelle Evans does this thing, you've probably noticed it, where she's completely incapable of having just the tiniest little sliver of self-awareness.
She just. Can't. Do it.
If you're not quite sure what we're talking about here, let's just go over a quick example: remember all those cease and desist letters she sent out a few months ago?
She sent them to almost every single Teen Mom 2 cast member, demanding that they stop mentioning her on social media.
Hilariously, one of the reasons why she wanted them to stop talking about her was because it could potentially damage her chances of getting jobs in the future, like everything else she's ever done wouldn't do the trick there.
But anyway, she sat up on her high horse while all those letters were delivered, all the while knowing that she does the same ding dang thing the rest of them do.
She posts stories about the other moms on her social media accounts, and she's definitely trashed them there, too.
She leaked Kailyn Lowry's big pregnancy news last year, and she even once leaked Kailyn's phone number.
But she's the victim in all of this for some reason, right?
It was absolutely ridiculous, but hey, that's Jenelle.
And now she's being ridiculous all over again.
OK, so Kailyn Lowry has that podcast, right? She brought Leah Messer on a recent episode, so of course they got into some Teen Mom talk.
The subject of the last reunion show came up, specifically the filming of that New Year's Eve party before the reunion -- the one where David Eason pulled out a knife and attacked some balloons.
Leah said that she was "terrified" during the incident, and that she didn't think it was acceptable for him to go off like that because even though it was a party, it was also part of their job.
"We were there for work!" she said. "I mean, you can have a few drinks socially, but it's not that appropriate."
She and Kailyn both agreed that they didn't want their children to be around David in the future.
All of that makes perfect sense -- believe it or not, it actually isn't a great look to have a few drinks at a company party and then stab some decorations when things don't go your way.
Or for any reason, really.
But, as always, Jenelle is unable to understand the simplest of things, and so she lashed out at both Leah and Kailyn on Twitter.
She began by directing a tweet at Leah, writing "Last time I recalled... the kids weren't at the New Years party we were 'working at.' Stop being so dramatic."
"My name or my husbands should never come of if your mouth, but for a podcast and ratings?! Of course. #Fake."
How rich is it that Jenelle Evans is telling another human being to "stop being so dramatic"?
About as rich as it is that she's saying that Leah is being dramatic because she didn't appreciate a man twice her size brandishing a knife at a work event.
Also, why should Jenelle or David's name never "come of if" Leah's mouth? Because we're pretty sure Leah's name has definitely "come of if" Jenelle's.
One of her followers told her not to even support Kailyn's podcast by listening to it, but Jenelle clarified that she just saw Leah's quotes on a gossip site, because "lmfao hell no that would make my ears bleed."
Another person suggested that she learn how to get along with Leah, and she responded with "Yeah, tell her that. Whatever kail tells her to do she does it lol."
When someone then pointed out that Kailyn and Leah are actually friends -- something that must be a novel concept for Jenelle -- she said "Kail uses anyone she can to gain whatever she can... remember that."
But what about Chelsea?!
"I honestly think Chelsea doesn't trust any of us, lmao I think we've both came to those terms actually," she wrote.
Except Chelsea is definitely friends with both Kailyn and Leah, but sure, Jenelle.
As for the last remaining Teen Mom 2 girl, Briana DeJesus, she chimed in with "Still talking about the New Year's Eve party?" with three crying emojis.
Which is kind of odd, because this all just happened a few months ago, and if we were ever at a work event where someone's husband stabbed a bunch of balloons in a fit of rage, we'd literally never stop talking about it.
But apparently that kind of drama is normal for both Jenelle and Briana, because Jenelle replied with "Omg yes, it never ends with anyone. When I comment back in the bad one, just like we talked about lol."
We're pretty sure she meant to write "I'm the bad one" instead of "in the bad one," so it's obvious she doesn't realize that it's weird that she thinks it's weird for this to still be a topic of conversation.
"Why is my life your everyday topic for your show?" she then asked. "Maybe I should be the one with a show then..."
Because if she had her own podcast and talked about the other moms, then that would be cool, right?
Oh, Jenelle ....

Kim Kardashian's curves are legendary. She once had a booty pic break the internet, folks.
Now Kim is bragging that she's pushed her figure -- and particularly her narrow waistline -- to new extremes.
And she's not afraid to share her new, extreme measurements.
Fresh off of being slammed for a controversial nude pic that was taken by her daughter, Kim chats with sister Kourtney Kardashian and beloved Twitter queen Chrissy Teigen.
In a video shared on Kim Kardashian's app, Kim reveals her exact measurements.
"My waist, guess how much it is? Twenty-four. Yeah, it's never been 24 ever in my life. My hips are 39."
Keep in mind that, though most of us consider our waistline to be where our (normal, non-high-waisted) pants rest, when you're talking about clothing and waist measurements, a woman's "natural waistline" is going to be just above her navel but below her ribcage.
Kim's waistline is an extremely narrow one, even for a woman as tiny as she is (she's, like, 5-foot-3; that whole family is so little).
In contrast to her hips, though ... it's almost too much to imagine. Fortunately, there are photos:
(Kim captioned this photo: "Forgot to post this last night," which is a profoundly casual way of advertising a look like this)
Even seeing Kim's waist-to-hips ratio for yourself, and even though we've all seen Kim's nude pics, it almost defies belief.
Kourtney is particularly blown away, marking that she cannot "take her hips seriously," because Kim's "waist is so small," and her "hips are so big."
It's not that no one else on the planet has a tiny waist -- Kourtney's pretty small herself -- but Kim loses weight from her legs and tummy, keeping them trim, while her butt and hips and breasts remain as lively as ever.
Hey, different bodies store and burn fat differently. Some people gain weight and their faces are largely untouched; other people have slender figures but still have very soft features.
In case anyone missed the point, Kim shared this:
Wearing Fendi logo leggings and a matching top, Kim arches on her hands and knees in what some mgiht describe as a suggestive pose.
This pose doesn't quite show off her boobs, but it certainly highlights the curve of her butt.
More significantly, you can see exactly how shockingly thin Kim Kardashian's waist is.
(We're not body-shaming her over redefining hourglass figures, but it's still shocking to see that kind of incredible body contrast)
How exactly does Kim do this?
We all wish that there were some secret alien Illuminati pizzagate clone serum that celebrities passed around that let them have whatever figure they want without sacrificing their happiness.
Unfortunately, there is now.
Though Kim has access to the best healthcare in the world, she maintains her figure through diet and exercise.
And also the use of waist-trainers. Though some medical professionals have pointed out that your average waist-trainer that you'll see advertised on Instagram isn't likely to work beyond a sort of placebo effect ...
(Basically, you feel better about your body while wearing it and are therefore more driven to exercise and diet)
Some truly dedicated stars, like Kim, use waist-trainers with effectiveness. And the results are hard to miss.
We don't want to speak over Kim or any expert, but it looks like the real key to Kim's figure is ... obsession.
Obsession with her figure -- remember how quickly she trimmed down after giving birth to Saint? Obsession with her weight and measurements.
Those nudes and photos that we see might not just be Kim loving her body and maintaining her brand image.
In a way, they might be like those "daily accountability photos" that people share on social media in order to keep themselves from slacking off.
Kim's brand is very much tied to her figure and to her body. That's a huge part of why she shows it so much.
But she's created a work of art; why shouldn't she put it on display if she wants to?

Meghan Markle is not about the late some ignorant and cruel racists get her down.
Far from it, in fact.
On the heels of an elected official official being a stupid and awful A-Hole when it comes to Markle marrying Prince Harry, the future Royal spent time in Scotland this week.
According to various outlets, the beloved twosome arrived around lunch time yesterday to the Esplanade outside Edinburgh Castle, where they were welcomed to the city by the Royal Marines Scotland Band.
Markle, meanwhile, was asked a very important question by a native of this region, as someone named Tom Martin wanted to know if the ex-actress had her bachelorette party planned.
"We asked them what they were doing for their stag and hen dos," Martin told People Magazine, adding:
"Meghan said, 'I'm not sure - it's sorted but it will be fun."
It's sorted, huh?
Sounds like Markle already has some British vernacular down.
Either that, or she's been watching a lot of Harry Potter of late.
Many Internet users are likely wondering just who will be invited to Markle's big party, and also what her definition of "fun" is exactly.
The star does have sort of a wild past, having posted in scantily-clad outfits often over the years.
In the case of this trip, however, the beloved couple had fun by hanging out with the mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, a Shetland pony named Cruachan.
They had a chance to pet the horse in adorable footage actually captured by Kensington Palace.
Harry, for his part, also has a bit of a crazy past.
There are plenty of photos of him online that feature the Prince partying and drinking; nothing too out of the ordinary and certainly nothing illegal.
He remained mum on his stag party plans, however, Martin told People, simply relaying to the publication:
"I'm sure William's got something up his sleeve," Martin said.
Onlookers in Scotland said last night and this morning that Markle was a natural while interacting with them.
She's getting more and more used to being on the public stage, joking with one woman how she loved the color of her nails and telling another that she really liked her purse.
The arrival of Markle and Harry kicked off a day of pre-Valentine's events in the Scottish capital.
Once inside the castle, the celebrities will observe the firing of the One O'Clock Gun, a tradition that began in 1861.
After visiting this legendary castle, Harry and Meghan will head over to Edinburgh's New Town to visit Social Bite, a café that gives out food and hot drinks to the homeless.
Pretty cool, huh?
Also, for their final event of the day, the engaged pair will attend a reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse to celebrate youth achievements in Scotland's Year of Young People 2018.
Finally, one more note about their wedding, which is scheduled for May 19, 2018.
Sources tell Entertainment Tonight that Markle wants Ed Sheeran to perform at the reception.
How cool would that be?!?

Back in January, Teen Mom 2 stars Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus broke up after just a few months of dating.
Then, for reasons that defy any sort of logic or explanation, they decided to give their relationship another chance.
It went about as well as you would expect.
Kicking off a whirlwind turn of events, last week, Briana flew to Miami, Florida, in order to undergo plastic surgery.
Javi made the trip as well in order to provide emotional support in the hours leading up to DeJesus' procedures.
Fans were stunned when Briana posted evidence of the duo's romantic rendezvous on Instagram and Snapchat.
But, as many of them predicted, the reconciliation between the mercurial young parents was extremely short-lived.
The problem, it seems, is that Javi wasn't the only guy to head to Miami in order to help Bri with her recovery.
Devoin Austin, the father of Briana's first child Nova, also made the trip to the Sunshine State for the occasion.
Javi was understandably less than thrilled.
As a result of this surprise visit from her baby daddy, Javi ditched Briana and went off partying by himself in Miami.
Could be worse, and based on what happened after that, he's probably not regretting that decision at the moment.
It appears as though Briana and Devoin - who she's spent years calling a deadbeat - are 100 percent back together.
In fact, based on DeJesus' latest tweet, it seems the parents of 6-year-old Nova are once again living together too.
"Living with a man = sports channel is always on," DeJesus tweeted, not mentioning who she was referring to by name.
There's little doubt about it, though.
In turn, Radar Online contacted Javi to request a comment on the situation, and remarkably, it seems he's not upset.
"To be honest I'm not invested in her life anymore," Marroquin told the outlet, putting on a good front if nothing else.
"Good for them. That's funny though."
The father of Kailyn Lowry's middle son Isaac almost convinced the celebrity gossip world that he doesn't give a s--t.
But then he messed it up, because he can't help himself, by throwing a little passive-aggressive shade at the end.
Frankly, we would've respected Javi more if he just went off on Bri and Devoin and the speed at which she moved on.
If he had offered up a prediction on just how long their relationship (if you can call it that) will last this time around?
Not only would we have appreciated the headlines, but we'd give him props for saying what's really on his mind.
Most situations don't necessitate public trash talk, but we highly doubt anyone would give Javi a hard time here.
In any event, you can follow the link to watch Teen Mom 2 online to relive the many ups and downs of Javi's life.
There's rarely a dull moment.

Danielle Herrington has reached what many consider to be the pinnacle of the modeling business:
She has been named the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl.
And it's pretty easy to see why...
Herrington is only the third African-American woman to grace the front of the legendary issue, something she touched on in a statement released shortly after the above photo went public.
"Two of my role models are Tyra Banks and Beyonce, so the fact that I get to join this incredible group of women as I become the third black model on the cover of SI Swimsuit is a dream come true," Herrington says, adding:
"I am so excited to be part of this iconic brand that has long given identity and voice to women of all shapes, colors and beliefs.
"I hope that young girls who look at this cover are inspired to dream as big as I did and work hard to attain all their goals."
Harrington posed for this issue for the very first time just a year ago.
She went from being a 2017 rookie to the star of the 2018 edition.
And she said previously that this was the path she always dreamed about, she just didn't know if it was realistic.
In a 2017 interview with Fox News, Herrington talked about how she aspired to be just like Banks, who appears on probably the most iconic cover in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit history.
"I just remember Tyra Banks being on the cover and that's where it all started for me," Danielle said.
"That's what really made me pursue modeling. SI was a goal from that point, from seeing Tyra on the cover. It was love at first sight… everything happened naturally."
What else is worth noting about Danielle Herrington?
She's 24 years old.
She grew up in Compton, California.
She majored in Psychology and would have been a child psychiatrist if she had not become a model.
Sports Illustrated is the first magazine she has EVER posed for.
"I am beyond speechless," she wrote on Instagram after this cover was revealed.
"I dedicate this to all the young girls out there. Work hard, surround yourself with good people who believe in you and YOUR DREAMS WILL COME TRUE."
For this cover shot, Herrington was shot by photographer Ben Watts in Harbour Island, Bahamas.
"Last year, Danielle was a rookie, and yet already an exemplary model," said SI Swimsuit Editor MJ Day, gushing in more detail:
"She's an extra hard worker and a natural brand ambassador. All those things separately don't guarantee a cover, though. Danielle was a shy girl, who went from taking her first photos last year to showing up this year a completely different person.
"All the good things about her seemed to be magnified.
"She owned every single second of her shoot. She had an enthusiasm and effervescence about her - I felt like I was meeting her for the first time.
"Last year she showed up never expecting to be there; this year she showed up completely claiming her place and status as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model."
