As you may have heard, the 2018 Oscars were held last night, and while the event was met with a collective shrug and record low ratings, it was an interesting ceremony for a number of reasons.
Change was the theme of the evening, with stars speaking out on issues ranging from the Harvey Weinstein sex scandals to the plight of the young "dreamers" impacted by DACA legislation.
But while one could sense a turning of the tide at the ceremony, it sounds like it was business as usual at the raucous after-parties, where Leonardo DiCaprio was doing what he does best.
To be clear, no one's ever accused Leo of being anything but a gentleman, and we have no reason to believe he has a #MeToo moment in his future.
In some ways, however, he represents the Hollywood old guard that took a step away from the spotlight last night.
But it sounds like Leo was happily filling the role he was born to play as he party-hopped after the event.
According to Radar Online, DiCaprio was spotted getting friendly with recently-crowned Miss California, Kelley Johnson.
"Leo's head turned the minute he saw her, everyone knows he has a thing for blondes," a witness tells the outlet.
"They were in a group together talking for quite some time and he told her he was ditching to go for dinner at Delilah,"
Now, Leonardo DiCaprio hooking up with blondes is like the sun rising in the East and setting in the West.
For decades, Americans have comforted themselves with the knowledge that no matter how turbulent their lives may seem, they can rest easy knowing that Leo is probably banging a blonde at that very moment.
It's a source of stability in an increasingly unstable world.
This time, however, the situation is a little different.
Apparently, Kelley is happily engaged.
Now, to be fair, no one knows for sure if Leo and Kelley hooked up.
But they were spotted talking closely at a party and he invited her to dinner ... and this is Leonardo DiCaprio we're talking about.
Kelley took to Instagram last night to gush about how much she enjoyed herself at Hollywood's biggest night:
"At one point last night I was *literally* standing between Usher, Toby McGuire, and Leonardo DiCaprio looking across the room at The Weeknd, Robert Pattinson, Drake, Dana White, Emma Stone, Vince Vaughn, Ashley Graham, Brittany Snow, John Mayer, Andy Bravo, and sooooo many more incredibly talented people in Paul McCartney's house.
"I know. It's crazy to me, too. Meeting you all was a dream, it simply could not have been real," she added.
"Thank you, WME and Miss Universe, for inviting me to your Oscar Nomination party. And thank you, Leonardo DiCaprio for letting us sit at your table at Delilah afterwards. Last night was one of the best nights of my entire life."
Some states get all the luck.
Somewhere, Miss Idaho is pinning a ribbon on some farmer who grew a 40-pound potato.

Tori Roloff is not here for the hate.
The Little People, Big World star is a frequent poster on Instagram, but she never takes off her clothing.
She never hurls shade at anyone. She doesn't really express controversial opinions of any kind, really.
So, how does she have over 662,000 followers?
Because Tori brings a positivity to the platform that, unfortunately, is rarely seen online these days.
As the mother of one explains in a new Instagram caption (for the photo above), she just wants to appreciate every moment of her amazing life and to express constant gratitude and hope with each entry.
"I feel like I just need to put this out there," Tori said to open her post, adding:
"I am so blessed by the gift I've been given of having a platform on social media to share love acceptance and kindness with so many people.
"I so never imagined my life going in this direction and I thank God every single day that he has shown me how to love greater than I ever thought possible."
How refreshing, right?
A celebrity who does not take her status for granted in any way, shape or form.
Sounding a bit like sister-in-law Audrey Roloff, Tori goes on to cite her faith and religion and to use it to explain her philosophy on social media.
And in life, really.
"I am just a normal woman," Tori says.
"There's nothing extraordinary about me. I live my life the way i believe God wants me to and I just try to be a good person. I am so thankful I can share my story with my followers and I pray that my social media is a place to bring light into someone else's life.
"That being said I see how social media can quickly become such a dark and scary place. I don't want that here."
Tori married Zach Roloff on July 25, 2015.
They welcomed a son named Jackson into the world on May 10, 2017.
Continues Tori in her inspiring post:
"I choose to laugh and be silly and not take things so seriously because I love life and I love having fun in life.
"I hope you all see that and maybe even practice that on your own social media outlets."
Tori really does walk this walk, too, she doesn't merely talk the talk.
Just consider the recent message she sent about love.
In conclusion, Tori plans to savor every day she wakes up and realizes this life is not a dream.
She simply married the man she loved and that has led to all of this incredible success, on both the television small screen and the computer small screen.
"My goal here is to continue to make people laugh and show everyone I'm just a normal girl who got thrown into extraordinary circumstances and you better believe I'm not going to waste a damn moment."
We love it.
We just disagree with one thing:
Having this attitude does make Tori Roloff extraordinary. It's a lesson every on the planet would be wise to follow.

Macaulay Culkin was apparently home alone on Sunday night.
As a result, the actor decided to live-Tweet the Oscars, tossing out one unfunny joke and reference after another.
It was an impressive display of terrible jokes, each perhaps more cringeworthy than the one before... yet all adding up to a Twitter rampage that really should not be missed.

More big news out of the tiny town of Tontitown today.
It's only been two months since we learned that Josiah Duggar was courting Lauren Swanson, but we now know that the young couple has decided to take the next step in their relationship.
Yes, Josiah and Lauren revealed today that they're officially engaged!
They shared the news with fans in a joint interview with Us Weekly:
"This is an exciting, big step in our lives, and the whole thing was very meaningful," Josiah told the mag when asked how he popped the question.
"The place where I proposed to Lauren is the exact spot where her parents were engaged. There's a lot of family history on this property, making it a special place for Lauren."
Lauren was equally ecstatic in her own description of the proposal:
"I'm really excited to be getting married to Josiah," she told the tabloid.
"Everything about the engagement was such a special moment for me. I'm especially looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him!"
Josiah gushed about Lauren's family and spoke with obvious excitement about the prospect of the two clans uniting:
"It's going to be neat to see two great families come together in this union," Duggar tells Us.
"It'll take a lot of planning since we have big families on both sides, but we're very excited to get started and so thankful for how God has brought our lives together."
While an engagement is generally a foregone conclusion once a Duggar announces a courtship, that's not always the outcome.
In fact, before he met Lauren, Josiah courted Marjorie Jackson, but the couple abruptly called things off without explanation.
Needless to say, Duggar fans are thrilled that the 21-year-old had better luck the second time around.
Thus far, Josiah and Marjorie haven't offered any details in terms of the date of their nuptials, but whenever they exchange vows, you can bet it'll be a lavish affair with 1,000 or so guests in attendance.
It's the Duggar way.

Teen Mom OG fans know that Mackenzie McKee is joining the show and replacing Farrah Abraham, after Farrah got "hate crimed" (fired).
Mackenzie's no stranger to the Teen Mom franchise, but does she have what it takes to fill the void left when Farrah was cast out?
Farrah's own mother weighs in.
Remember Teen Mom 3? The world wasn't ready for Teen Mom 3. Or, at least, that's what audiences apparently decided.
But Mackenzie Douthit McKee made enough of a splash that, after Farrah Abraham was fired for being a nightmare of a human being (though she was also unfortunately shamed for her sex work), people kept bringing up Mackenzie as a possible replacement.
We know that those are some big, obnoxious shoes to fill.
(Mackenzie is also reportedly being considered for Teen Mom 2 after Jenelle Eason's future on the show was cast in doubt -- either way, Mackenzie would replace a widely hated star)
Now it's been reported that Mackenzie is joining the Teen Mom OG cast, specifically.
There's no way to know for sure how fans will react to seeing a different person on the show or the new "vibe" that each episode will bring.
But people have already formed some strong opinions.
In an interview with RadarOnline, Farrah Abraham's mom Debra Danielsen says that she has misgivings about the idea of Mackenzie filling the void that Farrah left behind.
For starters, she's just not sure about Mackenzie's appeal.
"I don't know how relatable a female bodybuilder is."
Maybe, though other reality shows have featured female bodybuilders who turned out to be very popular with viewers (just look at 90 Day Fiance's Paola Mayfield).
Mackenzie is also married to the father of her children and has an enthusiastic fanbase.
"It's a bizarre choice knowing our demographic."
It sounds like maybe Debra herself doesn't know what to think of a female bodybuilder and might be projecting that onto others.
"I feel like it's a little disjointed."
Aside from her doubts as to whether Middle America or key age demographics or whatever will run screaming for the hills at the sight of Mackenzie McKee's Herculean physique, Debra seems to wish Mackenzie well.
And she feels that Mackenzie's one big selling point is ... her own mother.
"She has a relatable story with her mom being ill."
Mackenzie's mother's cancer battle is serious. She has been diagnosed with Stage IV brain cancer.
(Mackenzie's mom has apparently been struggling to pay her hospital bills, so a lot of fans welcome the idea of Mackenzie raking in a Teen Mom sized paycheck)
"If Mackenzie took over there would be a new dimension. I hope she does well."
Debra can't really pretend to be neutral in all of this -- she's talking about her own daughter's replacement.
Plus, Debra has some sentimental attachments to Teen Mom of her own.
"I love the cast and crew because we've been together for 10 years."
She spoke of how she misses being part of the show.
"It's personally very hard for me not to be there. It's very difficult."
That's show business, folks.
Debra Danielsen may be right about people having trouble reconciling a devoted mother with a female bodybuilder. Some folks live in an isolated bubble.
But some question whether that will be any harder for fans to deal with than a sex worker.
In any case, she's definitely right that the show will be different with Mackenzie than it was with Farrah.
And by "different," we mean "better."
The Teen Mom franchise has been criticized for portraying the moms in a negative light. Mackenzie, who largely has her act together, could really change that and provide a nice contrast.
We'll all find out together.

For obvious reasons, Josh Duggar doesn't make many appearances on social media these days.
It's been three years since the world learned that Josh molested five young girls and was aided by his parents in his efforts to cover up his crimes.
Somehow, Jim Bob and Michelle have managed to rebuild their reputations, but needless to say, Josh hasn't been quite as lucky.
The former lobbyist remains in virtual exile, and it's rare for Josh's parents and siblings to even acknowledge his existence in public settings.
Unfortunately for his long-suffering wife, Anna Duggar, not everyone is so able to so easily distance themselves from Josh.
Josh celebrated his 30th birthday over the weekend, and while most of the Duggars didn't acknowledge the occasion, Anna paid tribute to her disgraced husband on Instagram.
And not surprisingly, her post wasn't terribly well-received by fans:
Anna posted the video above in which an assemblage of Duggars serenades Josh in celebration of his milestone birthday.
Even Josiah Duggar's new courting partner Lauren Swanson was on hand for the occasion and can be seen in Anna's video.
But not everyone has proven quite so forgiving of Josh's many indiscretions.
"Once a cheater always a cheater," wrote one fan.
"She's gonna get heartbroken again. Just caring for the woman's well being."
Others took issue with the manner in which Josh is holding his and Anna's youngest child:
"This is disgusting, nobody wants to see your cheating child molester husband who's holding his baby's toes only cm from that flame. You should probably delete this post, the fat lump is disgusting me. Hope he burns in hell."
Many pointed out that Jessa Duggar - who was revealed to be one of Josh's victims - can be seen in the clip.
Others commented that Anna's willingness to post such footage in a public forum points to a disturbing trend.
For two years after news of his sex scandals broke, Josh was nowhere to be seen on social media.
That changed in 2017 when his wife and parents once again began posting photos and videos in which he was featured.
Fans of the Duggars now fear that Josh is being slowly reintroduced to the public in an effort to normalize the father of five.
Some have even gone so far as to suggest that Josh might appear on Counting On, the Duggar's popular TLC reality series.
That seems like quite a leap, but we're sure the Duggars have often envisioned a future in which their eldest son's misconduct is forgotten and forgiven.
Fortunately, there are many who seen intent on preventing that from happening.

As fans and followers already know, Farrah Abraham is dating stuntman Aden Stay.
He's about 14 years older than she is, but they both work in the entertainment industry and they're both parents of daughters.
Now, Farrah is sharing a date night pic so that fans can get a little insight into her blossoming romance.
It's not every day that a 40-year-old stuntman lands a date with a 26-year-old woman with the general disposition of someone who might spend their nights terrorizing Gotham City.
But Aden Stay just lucked out, we guess.
Aden is a stunt performer who is listed as currently working on projects like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and The Gifted.
So whether you're watching a compelling story about mutants fleeing and fighting oppression or whether you're watching Chris Pratt run around with dinosaurs in a movie that probably didn't need to be made, Aden Stay is a part of making that.
Farrah decided to share a snap from their date:
In the photo (actually regrammed from Aden ... even though she clearly took the photograph) Farrah captioned:
"#datenight best date ever this one knows how to order"
Honestly, it's always kind of weird when someone compliments their date by saying that they "really know how to order."
Like ... one should certainly hope so, right?
Sometimes the line refers to taste in wine, but other times it refers to men who order for their dates which is the creepiest and most controlling thing.
(Until you're in an established, familiar relationship and order for each other just to save time -- there's a difference between knowing someone's tastes and deciding what dining experience they'll have)
Though fans already knew that Farrah was seeing him, this was the first time that she'd offered up a glimpse of their budding romance.
That said, Farrah had gushed to Us Weekly about Aden.
"Aden is amazing."
She's going to use that description of him again.
"I'm a lucky woman and feel blessed. We have just started our relationship and I feel like I met someone who is amazing."
She then lists the things that she loves about him.
"I love that he's Hawaiian, an amazing father, business entrepreneur and we have many similarities."
He has two daughters.
"I can't say enough great things about him. I'm a lucky woman."
Farrah's last relationship was with Simon Saran, and ended just under a year ago.
The couple had been together for years, and fans had watched the ins and outs of their relationship on Teen Mom OG.
While Farrah is happy to share her relationship with Aden Stay on social media, that might be the only place where fans can keep track of their romance.
Needless to say, Farrah is no longer being followed around by Teen Mom cameras.
Recently, Farrah sent her final message to the Teen Mom cast -- almost wishing them well but really just wishing that they'd all leave the show.
You know, before the show's "hate crimes" get them, too.
Presumably, Aden is probably not immersed in Farrah's problematic history that's gotten her accused of racism and being generally obnoxious in the past.
And, in a vacuum, it's great that he doesn't have any objections to dating a sex worker. That's a stigma that needs to end, and of all of the reasons to dislike Farrah Abraham, her camgirl sex shows are not one of them.
We do have to wonder how a father with his own daughters reacts to Farrah taking nude photos of her own daughter and storing them.
Sophia is a sweet girl but a lot of people are creeped out that Farrah would keep such photos, especially when they could be hacked by the worst scum that the internet has to offer.
Anyway, fans can probably continue to keep up with Farrah's romantic mishaps by following her on social media or just reading about her here.
Perhaps this new relationship will be at least as entertaining as her ridiculous dating profile.

There were plenty of surprises at the 2018 Academy Awards last night.
The Shape of Water won Best Picture in one of the most tightly contested races in years; host Jimmy Kimmel successfully navigated the rough waters of Hollywood's most scandalous year ever ...
... but for fans of Dunder-Mifflin power couples, there was one stunning twist that trumped all the others.
Yes, Kelly and Ryan themselves - Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak hit the red carpet together last night.
Kaling's choice of date for the Hollywood's biggest night had fans talking for a number of reasons.
For one thing, there's the obvious speculation that the on-again, off-again couple is dating once again "on."
But there's currently an even more intriguing rumor making its way across the social media landscape.
Kaling welcomed a daughter back in December, and she has yet to disclose the identity of the child's father.
So we guess it's not all that surprising that fans are now jumping to the conclusion that Novak is the baby daddy.
In fact, many are flat-out convinced that the Scranton branch's third or fourth most popular couple has entered the parenting world together.
Rumors about the father of Kaling's baby have been rampant for several months now, and Kaling has kept mum on the topic.
Unfortunately for her, this is one of those cases where fans believe her silence speaks volumes.
In the past, Kaling has never been shy about discussing the unusual complexities of her relationship with Novak.
"I will freely admit — my relationship with BJ Novak is weird as hell. He is not my boyfriend, but he is not my best friend," Kaling revealed in a 2015 interview.
"I guess you could describe our relationship as a 'romantically charged camaraderie with loud arguments,' but I don't think Facebook would accept this as a new status."
In her 2015 memoir, Kaling left Office fans overjoyed when she revealed that she and Novak refer to one another as each other's "soup snakes," a reference to a season 7 episode in which Michael Scott intended to use the term "soul mates" and flubbed it as only he can.
"'Soul mates' is what you aim for, but soup snakes is what you get sometimes," Kaling wrote.
Obviously, there's still no clear indication that Novak is the father of her child, but these days, he certainly seems to be the leading candidate.
Whatever the case, these two went from hanging out by Oscar's desk to hanging out at the Oscars, and we couldn't be happier for them.

Claire Holt has shared a message on Instagram that no woman ever wants to share.
But it's one the actress deemed too important to keep to herself.
In a heartbreaking caption, the former Vampire Diaries and Originals star tells followers that she recently suffered a miscarriage.
"I took this photo 10 days ago, as I waited for surgery after my sweet little baby lost its heartbeat," Holt says to open her post, which is included alongside a picture of herself in a hospital gown and bed.
She then adds of Matt Kaplan and the basis for the selfie:
"I sent it to my fiancé in the waiting room to show him that I was ok. I wasn't. I've never felt more broken in my life."
Why did Holt decide to make this personal pain into a public statement?
"I debated sharing this so soon and I'm still frightened about making such a private struggle public, but I'm doing it anyway because it's important," she explains, prior to delving into a lot more detail.
Out of respect for what Holt went through, we're just going to post the rest of her caption word-for-word, letting her powerful words speak for themselves...
(Editor's note: D&C stands for "dilation and curettage procedure.")
After my D & C, I spent hours on the internet searching for women who had been through it.
I was desperate to find someone, anyone, who could relate to what I was feeling. Someone to tell me that the depression and hopelessness were normal. That it wasn't my fault. That I wasn't broken forever.
I found a community of women who shared my exact experience. Who were open and vulnerable about miscarriage, something that isn't often or openly discussed.
It breaks my heart to think that losing a baby feels like something we have to keep to ourselves. Why is it any different than the death of a loved one? How is it any less meaningful?
Here is what I have learned as I begin to crawl out of the dark hole: support is everything. I could not have survived this without the unconditional love of my partner.
Despite his pain, he was my rock and my safety net. I will never know how to thank him. I also found that opening up to people is crucial.
As soon as I told my story, almost everyone I spoke to told me theirs - their own, their wife's, their sister's. So many people go through it and understand the breadth of pain, yet so few people talk about it.
Finally, I want to share a blog post that resonated with every part of me.
You can find the link in my bio, @leandramcohen of @manrepeller articulates the emotional rollercoaster with an eloquence that I could never possess.
To anyone out there who has been through a miscarriage, I understand you. I share every bit of your pain and you are not alone. Please be kind to yourself and I hope that you will be comfortable sharing your story too.
The link Holt is referring to takes on to THIS POST.
It's most definitely worth reading if you've been through anything like Holt has, or even if you just know someone who has suffered this kind of tragedy.
We send our thought to Claire Holt and to all the other women who have suffered a miscarriage.
At least Holt can take solace in knowing she isn't alone.
