The New York magazine has boldly launched an atrocious attack against President Trump with the release of their April 2 issue, which includes a large photo-shopped picture of the president on it’s cover, with a pig’s snout in place of his nose.
Over the picture, the headline for the magazine’s featured article reads, “Not Collusion… Not Incompetence… Not Cruelty… It’s the Corruption, Stupid…Why His Self-Dealing is His Biggest Political Liability.”
The Hill reported:
The cover story, “Corruption, Not Russia, Is Trump’s Greatest Political Liability,” hits Trump for what it claims is “corruption” and “greed” in nearly all aspects of his presidency, from his political appointees to his decision to let his sons take over his business after he took office.
“Since Trump took office, his pledge to ignore his own interests has been almost forgotten, lost in a disorienting hurricane of endless news,” New York magazine’s Jonathan Chait writes. “It is not just a morbid joke but a legitimate problem for the opposition that all the bad news about Trump keeps getting obscured by other bad news about Trump.”
“Not only has Trump made no effort to raise ethical standards but he and his administration have flamboyantly violated the existing guidelines,” Chait writes. “Lobbyists are seeded in every agency, ‘regulating’ their former employers and designing rules that favor bosses over employees and business owners over consumers.”
An intro article by David Cay Johnston bashes Trump for his restoration of the Old Post Office in Washington, D.C., turning it into a Trump hotel, and complains of Trump’s many real estate ventures around the world. Johnston writes:
More than at any time in history, the president of the United States is actively using the power and prestige of his office to line his own pockets: landing loans for his businesses, steering wealthy buyers to his condos, securing cheap foreign labor for his resorts, preserving federal subsidies for his housing projects, easing regulations on his golf courses, licensing his name to overseas projects, even peddling coffee mugs and shot glasses bearing the presidential seal. For Trump, whose business revolves around the marketability of his name, there has proved to be no public policy too big, and no private opportunity too crass, to exploit for personal profit.
Nowhere has the self-enrichment been more evident than at his Washington hotel, which quickly filled up with the very lobbyists and swamp creatures Trump had railed against during his campaign.

A third woman has filed suit over a nondisclosure agreement regarding President Trump, according to a new report by Bloomberg News Monday morning.
A woman who had worked on President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, Jessica Denson, filed a lawsuit last month in Manhattan federal court, to try to get out of a non-disclosure agreement she signed in order to work for the campaign.
Denson claims the NDA is prohibiting her from being able to discuss discrimination claims.
According to the Bloomberg report:
Jessica Denson, a Los Angeles-based journalist and actress who oversaw phone banks and Hispanic outreach for the campaign, claims she was harassed by a superior. She had earlier filed a discrimination case against Donald Trump for President Inc. in New York state court, but the campaign sought to enforce the confidentiality deal, filing an arbitration claim asserting $1.5 million in damages.
Denson's confidentiality agreement, a copy of which was filed with the lawsuit, prohibits disparagement and disclosure of confidential information about Trump, his company and family members including Eric and Donald Jr., Ivanka, Tiffany and even Barron, the president's 12-year-old son.
Denson sought a judge's order to declare the NDA unenforceable because it violates public policy and is too vague and too broad.
She claims her discrimination lawsuit didn't disclose any confidential information prohibited by the agreement, and that she was enforcing her legal right to address harassment and the hostile-work environment she endured during the campaign. She claims the campaign is using the agreement to thwart her case and asked a judge to nullify it in a March 26 filing.
A supervisor made “derogatory and demeaning comments” about Denson after she was promoted, started a rumor that she was responsible for a leak of Trump's tax returns and directed another campaign staffer to try to take her personal laptop and files, according to the original lawsuit, filed in November in New York state court.
The Hill also weighed in on Denson’s lawsuit:
She had formerly filed a discrimination case in New York state court against Donald Trump for President Inc., it added, and claims the Trump campaign wanted to move the lawsuit to arbitration due to the nondisclosure agreement.
Her lawsuit comes after adult film star Stormy Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with Trump more than a decade ago, filed a lawsuit last month seeking to void a nondisclosure agreement.
Former Playboy model Karen McDougal last month sued the company that owns the National Enquirer in an effort to break her silence about an alleged affair she claims she had with the president.

President Trump and the First Lady participated in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll Monday morning.
The president gave a speech from the balcony before joining attendees on the lawn. He tweeted out a video of his speech after the event had concluded, writing, “An honor to host the Annual @WhiteHouse Easter Egg Roll!”

President Trump sent out a Twitter statement Monday morning, blasting the Justice Department and the FBI over their delay in getting requested documents to Congress.
So sad that the Department of "Justice" and the FBI are slow walking, or even not giving, the unredacted documents requested by Congress. An embarrassment to our country!
The Hill further elaborated on the issues behind Trump’s tweet:
Conservative lawmakers in the House have subpoenaed the Justice Department for documents in the course of an investigation into what Republicans say is potential abuse and criminality at the department during the 2016 presidential race.
Democrats have described the probe, led by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), as a partisan distraction aimed at muddying the waters around special counsel Robert Mueller‘s investigation into President Trump’s campaign and Russia.
Specifically, GOP lawmakers want to see a tranche of more than a million documents examined by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is conducting a parallel probe into decision-making during the 2016 race.
FBI Director Christopher Wray recently announced the bureau was doubling the number of personnel working to respond to the document requests, to 54 staffers working in two shifts from 8 a.m. to midnight. Lawmakers have received about 3,000 documents so far.

Several media personalities took issue with President Donald Trump’s call on Easter for tougher U.S. immigration policy, with one suggesting that he should be impeached over the tweets he posted on Sunday.
Following reports that a caravan of an estimated 1,500 or more illegal alien migrants are heading toward the United States in an effort to acquire asylum in the country, Trump said Sunday that he will no longer work to secure a new Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals program since Mexico has failed to secure its side of the border, The Washington Examiner reported.
On CNN Monday, two commentators criticized Trump for voicing such a message on Easter.
“The fact he decides to go on offense and talk about a nuclear option against Dreamers on Easter morning says a lot about where his head and his heart is,” said John Avlon, editor in chief of the Daily Beast.
Following Avlon’s remarks, CNN political analyst Brian Karem also questioned the timing of Trump’s message.
“On Easter Sunday you’re going to tweet this out?” asked Karem.
In a Sunday tweet, Scott Dworkin, a podcast host who is also an MSNBC contributor, said Trump should be impeached for the tweets he posted on Easter.
Filmmaker Michael Moore also posted a tweet deriding Trump’s messages.
Eugene Scott of The Washington Post claimed that Trump went on an “anti-immigration tirade” on Easter.

For the 18th consecutive year, Google declined to present a doodle to recognize Easter, a celebration of Christianity’s core belief that Jesus Christ rose from the dead following his crucifixion.
Many Christians took issue with Google, posting messages on social media to voice their displeasure.
In a Sunday tweet, Paul Joseph Watson, editor-at-large for Infowars, wrote, “So Google has a doodle for every obscure 'woke' person/event imaginable, but nothing for Easter? #EasterSunday"
Actor James Woods retweeted the message, contending, “They loathe Christians. Plain and simple."
Defending its decision not to post a doodle in recognition of Easter, Google told Fox News that it celebrated the holiday by tweeting about it.
"We don't have Doodles for religious holidays, in line with our current doodle guidelines,” Google said. “Doodles may appear for some non-religious celebrations that have grown out of religious holidays, such as Valentine's Day, Holi's Festival of Colors, Tu B'Av and the December holiday period, but we don't include religious imagery or symbolism as part of these."
Among the holidays regularly celebrated by Google with doodles are Earth Day, Martin Luther King Day, Lunar New Year, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The last time Google presented a doodle in honor of Easter was April 23, 2000, when two candy eggs took the place of the the o's in Google.

According to an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the telephone call on March 20 when President Trump congratulated Putin on his re-election victory, the two also discussed meeting in person, and President Trump invited Putin to the White House, although no date or arrangements have been set yet.
The Associated Press reported Monday morning:
Trump and Putin had a telephone conversation on March 20 in which Trump congratulated Putin on winning the Russian presidential election two days earlier. The White House and the Kremlin said at the time the two presidents discussed meeting in person.
Putin aide Yuri Ushakov told Russian news agencies on Monday that Trump specifically invited Putin to the White House during the call.
Ushakov added that their governments didn't have time to start arranging a meeting before the United States joined Britain and more than two dozen allies in sanctioning Russia over the nerve-agent poisoning of a Russian ex-spy in England.
Bloomberg also reported:
U.S. President Donald Trump didn't just propose a summit meeting to Vladimir Putin when he called the Russian leader last month. He invited him to the White House, according to the Kremlin.
"When our presidents spoke on the phone, Trump suggested having the meeting in Washington at the White House," Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Monday. "This is quite an interesting, positive idea."

President Trump has sent out another round of Twitter messages Monday morning.
First, he blasted away at Mexico again, over the caravan of illegal aliens from Central America, who Mexico is allowing to just pass right on through their country on their way to the U.S. border:
Mexico is making a fortune on NAFTA…They have very strong border laws – ours are pathetic. With all of the money they make from the U.S., hopefully they will stop people from coming through their country and into ours, at least until Congress changes our immigration laws!
Next, Trump pounded on the “fake news” networks:
So funny to watch Fake News Networks, among the most dishonest groups of people I have ever dealt with, criticize Sinclair Broadcasting for being biased. Sinclair is far superior to CNN and even more Fake NBC, which is a total joke.
In another tweet, the president doubled down on Amazon, and the loss being incurred by the U.S. Postal Service since Amazon is using their own delivery service:
Only fools, or worse, are saying that our money losing Post Office makes money with Amazon. THEY LOSE A FORTUNE, and this will be changed. Also, our fully tax paying retailers are closing stores all over the country…not a level playing field!

As more and more corporations are now taking political sides on sensitive issues, boycotts have erupted on all sides – both between liberals and conservatives, and between corporations and consumers.
Following the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, many corporations took sides on the gun control issue, including Delta, Wal-mart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and many others.
Citigroup – one of the largest banks in the U.S. – announced their own set of gun control policies, and declared that any retailer not following their guidelines must find a new bank.
A group of “faith-based” investors leveraged their billions in assets and issued their list of gun control demands for banks, manufacturers and retailers.
More recently, one liberal student activist from Parkland, Florida became offended because a top Fox News anchor, Laura Ingraham, called him a whiner, and went on a rampage asking his followers to boycott her advertisers. As a result, at least 16 corporations pulled their ads from Ingraham’s show, which is ranked #4 in cable news ratings.
Now that corporations have jumped into politics and started taking sides, WE WANT YOUR OPINION – will you boycott businesses who take sides that are controversial to your own values? PLEASE TAKE OUR POLL BELOW.

Below are some of the responses I’ve given to the emails and messages our readers sent in this weekend. Plus, per JP’s request, my short speech from Saturday in Florida.
To send a message, please use the submit news tab.
DML: Over the weekend, a man came up to me during the Ride For Meadow event and said, “DML, You always get it right, especially with immigration.” That said, I have warned since the first time Trump went soft on DACA he was making a huge mistake. His most fervent supporters will push the narrative that Trump was “playing” the Democrats. Really? What did we win in this “play” — someone needs to tell me the prize because all I see are droves of illegals crossing the border. The only people now officially pissed at the Democrats are the Dreamers. What does that do for us? We, the American people, are paying the price for Trump’s “play” — the cost is a wave of new illegals since August when he “fell in love with the Dreamers.” History shows that when presidents speak soft on immigration and toss out terms like “path to citizenship”, like Trump has for the past 8-months, that the herd of illegals intensifies. All Trump did with this nonsense if piss off the voters who voted solely on immigration, and that’s a LOT of people.
DML: The White House, Washington DC, c/o President Donald J. Trump. Be sure to tell him They Come to America 4 is soon to come. Here is the link to the Trilogy.
DML: We don’t use DISQUS because it slows down the website. However, our new version of the website, along with the DML APP 2.0, will have live chat and comments built in that have nothing to do with FB. Once I get back to NY, it will be launched. Another week, I’m guessing.
DML: JP, I am sorry we did not get to meet. It was my son filming. He was shooting clips for our upcoming documentary on safety in schools. I’m not sure what will ultimately be in the film, but I know there are no plans of including this speech because the movie is not about me or my role with Andy, it’s about the kids in America and how they need to be better protected. Therefore, I can share the video per your request. Thank you for asking to see it for a second time. Your words to me are very kind and I still see those M16s in my face during the Bundy standoff. As for moving to FL, thankfully DML News can go with me where ever I live. But truth is we have to sell our home in NY before I could afford such a thing. It’s not an easy decision — the house has been in our family for 115 years. Stay tuned.

According to one star on the revived “Roseanne” sitcom, the ABC show has no plans to specifically mention President Trump by name.
Sarah Gilbert sat down with "Watch What Happens Live" to explain how the show handles the topics of politics and presidential elections in 2018.
Fox News reports the following:
“Sarah Gilbert, who plays Darlene on ABC's "Rosanne," said in an interview that the show will never mention President Trump by name, despite the show's early political subjects.
"Roseanne" returned after more than twenty years off the air with a host of new and returning characters. Never a series to shy away from depicting an honest view of middle-class America, the premiere dug deep into politics and showcased the divide between some of the family members over the 2016 election. The series revealed that the title character supports the president.
Gilbert told "Watch What Happens Live" that the Conners are not Trump backers, The Daily News reported. She said the only character who supports the president is Roseanne's character.
"The show is not about politics. It's not about anyone's position or a policy, it's really about what happens to a family when there's a political divide, which is something that I think the entire country can relate to and something we need to talk about. So, with our show, it's never about 'doing an issue' or 'doing politics,' it's 'how do these things affect a family unit?'"”

A caravan of an estimated 1,500 illegal aliens from Central America is now one week into its journey toward the United States border, where they insist they will demand asylum from the U.S. government. CLICK HERE to see “Part 1” of this story.
The trip is organized by an group called “Pueblos sin Frontera,” an international migrant outreach operation, who describes themselves on their Facebook page as “empowering immigrants through popular education and cultural work and providing humanitarian assistance to migrants at risk.”
“Our mission is to provide shelter and safety to migrants and refugees in transit, accompany them in their journey, and together demand respect for our human rights,” the group states.
Reportedly, about 80 percent of the caravan of men, women and children are from Honduras, and the rest are from Guatemala and El Salvador. Their journey began last Sunday, March 25, and, according to reports on Twitter, by this Sunday, they had gotten as far as Matías Romero, a city in Oaxaca, one of Mexico’s southern states.
President Trump learned that the caravan was headed toward the United States, and blasted out three Twitter posts Sunday morning, telling Mexico they must stop the big drug and people flows, and declared, “NO MORE DACA DEAL.” However, the caravan marches on.
“We are resistance, We are fighting and hope… We are a #pueblosinfronteras,” the organization states, in a caption under a group photo of migrants all raising their fists into the air.
The organization has DEMANDED of the United States:
On March 23, Pueblo Sin Fronteras posted their demands on their Facebook page:
To the governments of Central America, Mexico, and the United States of America, To the media, To human rights organizations, To civil society,
We are a group of people from different nations, religions, genders, gender expressions, and sexual orientations migrating and seeking refuge. We seek to become one collective, supporting each other shoulder to shoulder and demonstrating that by uniting we can abolish borders.
We Central Americans have formed a caravan of many united in struggle. We leave Tapachula, Chiapas on March 25.
If all goes well we will be in Puebla, Mexico from April 5 to 9 to participate in legal preparation and workshops. From there we will hope for the blessing of solidarity from the Mexican people and human rights organizations, who we hope will join our struggle and assist us with the supplies and resources that they have available. We appreciate the support and collaboration of the people of Mexico and the United States. We hope to be an example of solidarity and struggle to the world.
We demand of our Central American countries:
We demand of Mexico and the United States:
“The border is stained red!”
On Sunday, March 25, they posted a video of “More than 1000 people lined up in the central park of Tapachula ready to start the caravan.”
In the next video, the caravan started out, marching down the road in jubilation, headed for the United States.
Yesterday when we crossed the first immigration checkpoint, the INM agents had abandoned their posts! The refugee caravan is already knocking down borders!!!! On to the next checkpoint, 1200-1500 strong!
In a video the organization posted of the massive caravan marching right on through the immigration checkpoint at the Mexican border, they wrote, “The Refugee Caravan knocking down borders yesterday in Huehuetan! Immigration agents abandoned the post when they knew we were coming. The people celebrated this first little victory!”
On March 29, they wrote:
Day 5 of the #ViacrucisMigrante2018, families washing clothing and bathing in the Novillero river in San Pedro Tepanatepec, while others in the caravan prepare rice and beans. A group of 350 men just arrived after walking all night from Arriaga. On the last stretch 2 truckers stopped on the side of the highway and all 350 climbed onto the truck beds to arrive together at dawn.
90 of us arrived last night on a bus after negotiating with the bus company in Arriaga. The border police stopped and boarded us, but we insisted that we are Pueblo Sin Fronteras, 1500 families without passports but with permission from God to pass freely; the police backed off and we made it to San Pedro, where we found the town fair and played foosball before falling asleep exhausted.
We are strong, we are impatient, we are beautiful and fun and we have dignity, and there are a lot of us. Of the 150 people who flee political repression in Honduras each day, more than a thousand are with us, roaring “Fuera Joh!” as we march. We struggle against the corrupt governments of Mexico, Central America, and the USA, an end to violence and repression in our countries, and respect and freedom of movement for all migrants.
BuzzFeed reporter Adolfo Flores is traveling with the caravan, and posted updates on his Twitter account:
Flores wrote Sunday that the illegal migrants just laughed at Trump’s “NO DACA” statement.
To be continued… this is a developing story. Below is a map of the area. Sunday, April 1, the caravan of (reportedly) about 1,500 migrants were in Mexico's southern state of Oaxaca. Other unconfirmed reports are that the numbers are growing with each city they pass through.

Following Facebook’s exposure of harvesting personal data from its users, the Attorney General for Missouri officially launched an investigative probe against the social media company.
In the probe, Republican Josh Hawley is seeking critical documentation of Facebook’s professional relationship with Cambridge Analytica.
Fox News reports the following:
“Missouri's Republican attorney general on Monday launched an investigation into Facebook's use of personal data.
Josh Hawley’s office is demanding that the social media giant discloses every time it shared data with a political group and how much such groups paid for the data, according to a civil investigative demand dated Monday.
The demand notice was first reported by Bloomberg and came at the time Facebook is under heavy criticism following the revelations about how Cambridge Analytica, a data-driven consulting company based in Britain, used the social media platform and gained access to personal data of about 50 million users.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly agreed to testify before the U.S. Congress, but the exact date of the appearance remains unclear. The company shed nearly $80 billion of its value since the controversy began last month.
Hawley is requesting a timeline of Facebook's interaction with Cambridge Analytica and Aleksandr Kogan, the academic who created a Facebook quiz and later passed on the collected data to the UK-based company, according to Bloomberg.
The investigative demand also asks to disclose documents, communications, and evidence about Facebook's meetings with the Obama campaign, who similarly used the platform to gather people's information during the 2012 election.”

Emily Jackson, an expecting 22-year-old mother of two and YouTuber, was denied entry along with the rest of her family on to their planned Disney cruise because she was 25 weeks pregnant, which is against their official policy.
According to their policy, pregnant mothers passed 24 weeks are not allowed aboard their ships for safety reasons. Jackson and her family, who came down from St. Louis to the Miami cruise port, were escorted out of the check-in building by an armed guard.
The Daily Mail reports the following:
“One woman’s dream of a Disney vacation was crushed when she was denied entry on a cruise because she was pregnant and was subsequently escorted off by a guard bearing an AR-15 rifle.
YouTuber Emily Jackson, 22, is a mother-of-two with a baby boy on the way.
Jackson, along with her husband, children, parents, and siblings flew from St. Louis to Miami to embark on a picture-perfect vacation.
The 10-member strong family even wore matching T-shirts that said ‘Keep calm and enjoy your Disney vacation’.
However what ensued was the opposite of calm when. Disney cruise personnel refused Jackson entry on the cruise because she was 25 weeks pregnant, one week past policy limit.”

After months of careful speculation and observation, the Chinese built Tiangong 1 space station finally crash landed on Earth after being defunct for quite some time now.
While most of the station disintegrated upon reentry into Earth’s atmosphere, the rest of the wreckage landed miles off the coast of Tahiti.
The Daily Mail reports the following:
“China‘s out of control Tiangong 1 space station smashed into Earth at 17,000mph off the coast of Tahiti on Monday morning and mostly disintegrated as it hit the planet’s atmosphere.
The demise of the nine-ton space station had been the subject of scientific speculation for months amid fears large chunks of it could come down near population centers.
Experts had been unable to predict where the installation, which is roughly the size of a school bus, would come down but in the end it re-entered the earth’s atmosphere over the South Pacific.
The craft re-entered the atmosphere around 8.15am Beijing time (0015GMT) and the ‘vast majority’ of it had burnt up upon re-entry, the China Manned Space Engineering Office said.
Just minutes before, their best estimate predicted that it was expected to re-enter off the Brazilian coast in the South Atlantic near the cities of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
China’s space authority said on Sunday that the station would hit speeds of nearly 17,000mph before disintegrating. They previously said its fiery disintegration would offer a ‘splendid’ show akin to a meteor shower but the remote location likely deprived stargazers of a spectacle of fireballs falling from the sky.”

Following the Easter break, multiple schools in Kentucky will close this week so that teachers can attend a rally to protest the proposed pension reform bill.
Counties such as Floyd and Pike have closed down their schools for the statewide protest, with others likely to follow.
The Hill reports the following:
“Several schools in Kentucky will close Monday so teachers can take part in a statewide rally to protest a pension reform bill
Kentucky Education Association President Stephanie Winkler is urging superintendents to cancel classes so teachers can go to the rally, WSAZ NewsChannel 3 in Huntington, W.Va. reported.
Schools in Floyd and Pike counties are among those closed for the rally in Frankfort. Several other school districts are on spring break.
The rally comes after state lawmakers last week passed a bill changing the structure of pension benefits for future teachers.
Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin (R) has indicated that he will sign the bill, and said last Thursday that teachers owe lawmakers a “debt of gratitude” for passing the bill.
“Anyone who will receive a retirement check in the years ahead owes a deep debt of gratitude to these 71 men & women who did the right thing,” Bevin tweeted Thursday night.”

"I think there's going to be a very challenging election environment. Nobody's had a good off year election since 2002. So I think Republicans would be well advised to get ready," Cole said on MSNBC.
Democrats have already secured multiple special election victories at the state and federal level in the last year in areas that President Trump won heavily in 2016.

The trade war between the US and China is heating up.
China raised import duties on a $3 billion list of U.S. pork, apples and other products Monday in an escalating dispute with Washington over trade and industrial policy.
The government of President Xi Jinping said it was responding to a U.S. tariff hike on steel and aluminum. But that is just one facet of sprawling tensions with Washington, Europe and Japan over a state-led economic model they complain hampers market access, protects Chinese companies and subsidizes exports in violation of Beijing's free-trade commitments.
Already, companies are looking ahead to a bigger fight over U.S. President Donald Trump's approval of higher duties on up to $50 billion of Chinese goods in response to complaints that Beijing steals or pressures foreign companies to hand over technology.
Forecasters say the impact of Monday's move should be limited, but investors worry the global recovery might be set back if other governments respond by raising import barriers.
On Monday, the main stock market indexes in Tokyo and Shanghai ended the day down.
