If you keep up with the comings and goings of the Duggar family, then you know that a hot topic of discussion when it comes to these people is their parenting styles.
And that's because it's all very, very scandalous.
For years now, people have speculated on the way Jim Bob and Michelle raise their children, and that's for a lot of reasons.
They just have so many of them, for one -- how does one even begin to parent 19 children?
On top of that, it's always interesting to look into the Duggars' church and their specific religious beliefs, because it turns out that others with those same beliefs use some pretty concerning methods to care for their kids.
One of those methods, just for an example, is blanket training: you put a baby on a blanket, and if he rolls or crawls off of it, then you scold him (or hit him, in some instances) until he learns to stay put.
Do the Duggars do this? Maybe, maybe not.
We've never seen them do it on any of their shows, but many other people who share their belief system do it, so, you know, there's a decent chance.
But besides all that, there's been actual evidence that all is not quite right in this family -- Josh's molestation scandal and the way it was dealt with, the way Jana seems to be more of a mother to the younger kids than Michelle is.
And now, thanks to a live video Derick Dillard put on Instagram, there may be even more evidence of abuse.
In the video, Derick is just filming around Jim Bob and Michelle's house, and he happens to catch Michelle talking to Jennifer, her 10-year-old daughter.
She's visibly scolding her, and Jennifer is turned away, flinching.
When Michelle notices that Derick is filming, she's surprised, but then goes into her usual sickly sweet public persona.
It may not sound like a lot, but after watching the clip, numerous Reddit users are convinced that this is proof the Duggars are abusive to their children.
One person said that the clip contained "a lot of red flags," including "Jenny's body language, Michelle's sociopathic switch to sweetness and the finger wagging which is clearly being used as a threat."
"Omg did you see Jennifer flinch?" another asked before answering that it looked like "she was actually flinching becauseshe thought Michelle was going to hit her."
One user confirmed that "Jennifer was absolutely flinching," and "she did it as soon as Michelle made a swift motion with her hands. It looked like she was going to smack Jennifer in that moment."
Sadly, multiple people commented to say that Michelle's scolding and Jennifer's reaction remindd them of their own abusive childhoods.
Of course none of this is definitive proof that she's hitting her children -- none of us could know that, obviously -- but it's troubling that so many people think this is evidence that something sinister is going on in the Duggar home.
Or something more sinister than the stuff we already know about anyway.
But regardless of everything else, someone else pointed out that "nothing about that interaction looked to be a healthy way to reprimand a child."
And that sounds accurate.
Do you think this is proof that Michelle is abusive?

We've asked the question multiple times over the past few months.
Is Pippa Middleton pregnant, read a headline on this website in August.
Wait... is Pippa Middleton pregnant already, read a different headline in October.
Now, however, we're ready to ditch the question mark and make it an exclamation instead:
Pippa Middleton is pregnant, folks!!!!!
For real this time!
Rumors of Kate's sister expecting her first child with husband James Matthews are stronger than ever today, following a report in The Sun that stated exactly this.
A mostly reliable source, this British publication reports that Pippa recently started sharing the exciting news with her close friends, now that her 12-week scan has taken place and everything seems healthy.
"When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed," an insider tells The Sun, adding:
"Naturally, big sister Kate and parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people she told - James aside - and they could not have been more delighted."
It's been a difficult few weeks for Middleton and Matthews, considering the latter's father was just arrested for the alleged rape of a minor.
As any Royal Family follower knows well, of course, Pippa's very famous sister is also pregnant.
Kate and Prince Williams are expecting their third kid any day now. Heck, any hour now, really.
Pippa's announcement also comes weeks after James' younger brother, former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, and his fiancee, confirmed they were expecting their first child.
Talk about a lot of small children about to enter this family!
Writes The Sun:
"Pippa and James have always known they wanted children. They have made the most of their first few months of marriage and felt the time was right to expand their family."
Middleton and Matthews got married in May of 2017.
Pippa was sort of well known before Kate got married six years before that, but she sky-rocketed to fame on the day of her sibling's wedding, as millions of people around the world gawked over Pippa's rear end.
We're not being crude.
It's true: the world was very impressed by Pippa Middleton's butt at the time.
This is one of the photos that went viral back in 2011 and which explains why:
Now, however, the world will be focused on Pippa's front.
She's expected to give birth some time in October.
The Sun says that Kate "could not have been more delighted" upon learning this news from her sister... and we feel the same way!
We send our very best wishes to Pippa, James, Kate, William and ALL parents-to-be in the near future.
May your children be born as healthy and as happy as humanly possible.

The entertainment world is still reeling from the loss of Avicii.
As reported late last week, the beloved DJ was found dead on Friday at the very young age of 28.
In the days since, authorities have ruled out criminal suspicious as a cause of death, with local police in Oman (where Avicii was found) saying on record to CNN:
"Two postmortems were carried out ... and we can confirm that there is no criminal suspicion in the death."
So while we wait for further details to come in regarding what transpired with the musician, we can at least share more tributes to Avicii from those who knew him best.
Such as Emily Goldberg.
The ex-girlfriend of the DJ, Goldberg dated Avicii for two years and responded to his passing by sharing multiple photos of herself and the late star.
She also shared a moving message in his honor.
"'Come on babe, don't give up on us. Choose me, and I'll show you love.' Those are lyrics from a song Tim wrote for me," Emily wrote to open the caption to the picture below, adding:
"I wish I could have lived up to them.
"For the two years we were together, he was my closest confidante, and my best friend. Now I can't look at Bear without knowing I'll never see his face again."
Avicii's parents, two sisters and one brother arrived over the weekend in the city of Muscat to repatriate his body this week, according to police in Oman, which is a popular vacation destination on the Arabian Peninsula.
They are "completely devastated," authorities say.
So is Goldberg.
She concluded one of her posts by using lyrics from the DJ's hit "Wake Me Up," writing:
"I'm still collecting my thoughts and thank you for all your kind words and texts. Wake me up when it's all over, because I don't want it to be real. #ripavicii #avicii @avicii."
Via her Instagram page, Goldberg also shared what looks to be a screenshot of a text exchange between herself and Avicii (real name Tim Bergling) expressing their love for each other.
She captioned the post with a black heart emoji, and added the hashtags "#ripavicii #avicii.
Avicii's death was confirmed on Friday via the following statement:
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii.
He was found dead in Muscat, Oman, this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th.
The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.
Fans then gathered in Stockholm on Saturday to pay tribute to the 28-year-old Swedish superstar.
Avicii thrilled club goers with his catchy hits, flashing lights and soulful collaborations.
At one point, it would be safe to say he one of the world's most successful DJs, along with being a major name in the electronic dance music genre known as EDM.
However, citing stress and anxiety, Avicii announced two years ago that he needed to take a break from touring.
"I was drinking way too much, partying in general way too much," he said at the time, adding of one side effect:
"Then I got a pancreatitis attack [at 21], which is very rare. So that forced me to do a 180 and stop drinking."
It's unclear right now whether this condition played a role in his death.
May Avicii rest in peace.
Here is a look at what others have said about him since news of his passing went public:

Over the past few hours, many people who knew Verne Troyer well have reacted to the sad news of his passing.
As previously reported, Troyer died on Saturday at the age of 49.
The tragic development came mere days after many outlets also reported that Troyer had been hospitalized due to excessive drinking and what many believe had been a suicide attempt.
No cause of death had been revealed at the time of this writing.
Of all the tributes posted on Troyer's honor, however, the most noteworthy and heartbreaking comes from Mike Myers.
The 54-year old co-starred with Troyer in the Austin Powers franchise, portraying Dr. Evil to Troyer's Mini-Me. It was the role for which Troyer would forever be best known.
"Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him," Myers said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly on Saturday.
"It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed.
Troyer's major acting break came in 1999 due to the role of Mini-Me in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
He reprised this role in the 2002 sequel, Austin Powers in Goldmember.
The actor had reportedly battled alcoholism for years and had checked into rehab on several occasions.
Alas, he never received the help he so badly needed.
Said Troyer's family in a statement on Saturday afternoon:
"It is with great sadness and incredibly heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today. Verne was an extremely caring individual.
"He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh. Anybody in need, he would help to any extent possible."
On April 2, Troyer - who was born with achondroplasia dwarfism and listed at 2'8″ - was rushed to the hospital for a "reported poisoning."
The Los Angeles City Fire Department confirmed to People Magazine that they were called to the actor's North Hollywood home and that Troyer was "extremely upset, drunk and suicidal" at the scene.
We expect more to be revealed about his cause of death in the days ahead.
For now, a statement on Troyer's Instagram page concludes as follows:
During this recent time of adversity he was baptized while surrounded by his family. The family appreciates that they have this time to grieve privately.
Depression and Suicide are very serious issues.
You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside. Be kind to one another. And always know, it's never too late to reach out to someone for help.
Over the past few years, Troyer became known for his appearances in reality television.
The troubled actor had stints on Celebrity Juice, Celebrity Wife Swap, and The Surreal Life.
May he rest in peace.

Sad news out of Hollywood today, as multiple media outlets have now confirmed that actor Verne Troyer has passed away.
He was just 49 years old.
Troyer's cause of his death is unknown at this time.
If you're familiar with Verne, it's most likely because of his best-known role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers series of films.
He became a bona fide star, yet Troyer suffered a number of personal setbacks in the wake of his meteoric rise to fame.
Earlier this month, Troyer was hospitalized after police were told that he was drunk and exhibiting suicidal behavior.
Doctors reportedly treated him for alcohol poisoning upon his arrival.
There's no word yet on whether Troyer's death was in any way tied to his most recent struggles.
Beginning his career as a stunt double in the 1994 film Baby's Day Out, Troyer eventually amassed almost 60 film and television credits over the course of his decades in Hollywood.
But it was his role in 1999's Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged for which the actor will best be remembered.
Hamming it up as a diminutive clone of Mike Meyers' Dr. Evil, Troyer became a fan favorite and an overnight sensation.
Troyer went on to work with Meyers on two additional films, including Austin Powers in Goldmember, and he even made a brief cameo in the first Harry Potter film.
Sadly, the 2000s saw a steep decline in both the actor's career and personal life.
He continued to find work in Hollywood, but now it was mostly bit parts in small-budget comedies and degrading appearances on reality TV shows.
In 2015, Troyer married actress Brittney Powell, with whom he appeared on an episode of ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap.
Troyer also appeared on such short-lived reality shows as Celebrity Juice and The Surreal Life.
Born with a condition known as achondroplasia dwarfism, Troyer says he was never treated differently as a child.
He later revealed, though, that his condition had often made his adult life tremendously difficult.
He is survived by Powell and a stepson named Tyson.
Our thoughts go out to Troyer's family and friends at this difficult time.

Things have been pretty rocky lately for Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer.
Rockier than they were when they got married while he was high on heroin, even.
Yep, for the past month or so, Ryan's life has been falling apart in a pretty major way -- again, even worse than it already was.
In March, he got arrested for violating his probation, because it turns out that he'd been arrested last year for simple possession of heroin.
We're still not clear on exactly how he violated the probation -- Mackenzie has said that the whole thing was a misunderstanding and that he wasn't technically arrested at all, and other sources have claimed he either failed or missed a drug test.
What we do know is that he was arrested at his home, he got a brand new mug shot, and that may not have even been the worst thing that happened to him that week.
The same day we found out about the arrest, a woman came forward to claim that she'd been talking to Ryan on Tinder.
It was confirmed that the phone number the woman had belonged to Ryan, so that means he's been cheating or trying to cheat on his pregnant wife.
Because, oh yeah, it just so happened that Mackenzie's pregnancy was revealed on Teen Mom OG exactly when all this other nonsense was happening.
One more thing -- during this super eventful time, Maci Bookout also started the process of obtaining orders of protection against him for herself and her children.
She did this because she said he'd been harassing her and threatening to kidnap their son. Her husband filed an order of his own because Ryan had actually threatened to murder him.
Shortly after all of this, Mackenzie left their Chattanooga home for New York.
We don't know why or for how long, but it didn't look like a great sign.
Last we heard, the couple was on the brink of divorce because "neither one of them can stand each other," and that when it comes to their relationship, "things are way worse than they seem."
But as one source explained it. "she just sticks around for the paycheck," so maybe as long as Ryan has a job on Teen Mom he'll have a wife.
With this latest development, it's looking like that last thing may be the case.
Earlier this week, a car dealership in Chattanooga shared a photo of Ryan and Mackenzie in front of a new truck they'd purchased -- a custom Ford F-150.
They thanked the Edwards family for their purchase and told them to "please let us know if you need anything at all in the future!!"
This is interesting for a number of reasons.
One, it means that they're definitely together right now.
Two, this is the first new photo of Mackenzie since we learned she was pregnant. She's wearing a very loose shirt so we can't see any baby bump, and she may not even have much of one yet, but still, it's worth mentioning.
Three, Ryan and his wife are about to have a baby and this is the vehicle they decide to purchase? Seriously?
Four, isn't it so great that this guy who's been known to drive while on heroin purchased this huge truck? Seems like a great idea for everyone.
Stay safe, Ryan and Mackenzie! And also everyone who may be driving in or around southeast Tennessee!
