"Masters of the Universe" Movie Updates

Sony Entertainment, determined to revisit every major film property in their Columbia Pictures catalogue, have entered into negotiations with brothers Aaron Nee and Adam Nee, to direct the long-developing 3D reboot of "Masters of the Universe", featuring the characters 'He-Man' and 'Skeletor':


'He-Man' and 'Skeletor'  were originally conceived as a series of "Masters of the Universe" Mattel action figures, marketed in 1982.


The toys spun-off into a 130-episode syndicated cartoon series...


...followed by a Marvel Comics series and feature film starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man. 


In other related news, take another look @ 'Skeletor' pitching the 'Honda CR-V' auto during their "Happy Honda Days Sale Event".

"I was meant to be named 'Kiera', after a Russian ice skater who was on the TV one day," said Knightley.


"My dad fancied her and nicked her name for me. 


"But it was my mum who went to register my birth, and she accidentally spelled 'ei' instead of 'ie' because my mum's crap at spelling. Apparently, when she came back he said: 'WHAT THE FUCK? You've spelt her name wrong!' What were they going to do, though? Once it's on the piece of paper, it's on the piece of paper. And that's me. A spelling error..."


Knightley, the official 'face' of Chanel since 2007, continues to rep the company with 'Coco Mademoiselle' fragrances. 


New films for Knightley include an adaptation of "The Other Typist" by Suzanne Rindell. She will also star in a biopic of French author "Colette", directed by Wash Westmoreland, followed by a biopic of "Catherine the Great".


Knightley will also play the 'Sugar Plum Fairy' in an adaptation of "The Nutcracker" titled "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms", as well as starring "The Aftermath", a film adaption of the novel by author Rhidian Brook.

"M.A.S.K." Movie Franchise

Thanks to the big screen success of toy company Hasbro's "G.I. Joe" and "Transformers", Paramount will greenlight Hasbro's "M.A.S.K.", to be directed by F. Gary Gray ("The Fate of the Furious"):


Originally created by toy manufacturer Kenner, "M.A.S.K." follows the fight between underground task force 'M.A.S.K.', aka 'Mobile Armored Strike Kommand' and criminal organization 'V.E.N.O.M.'. aka 'Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem'.


After its initial launch in 1985, the franchise spawned a variety of products, including four series of action figures, an animated television series, video games and comic books.
