Did Belle Meade Plantation reject DML with dishonest email?

Posted: 03 May 2018 09:49 AM PDT

Written by DML
The Belle Meade Plantation (BMP) in Nashville, Tennessee, which was recommended to me by locals who knew I was trying to capture the beauty of America in our upcoming film, strung me along for two days only to come back with a rejection email which in my opinion is a downright lie and shows the ugliness of America.

On May 2, my wife Mary emailed the BMP with information on our documentary, AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL.  She expressed our desire to film on location, and to host a lunch for locals who support our film efforts.

Keep in mind, before making the inquiry, we had seen on the internet numerous news reports filmed on the grounds of BMP, and thought it would fit nicely into our production.

Mark James, Director of Group Sales at BMP, called Mary later that day for more information after receiving her email which blatantly told the story of what we are looking to do with the film.  Mary did not ask for any special discounts or favors, and she also expressed that we could have as many as 30 people for lunch.

James concluded his call by asking Mary for me to contact him via email with a synopsis of our film.

Here is what I wrote to James on May 2:
“Here’s the concept: The news cycle is always so negative, and everything appears so divided all the time.  We are taking a different approach.

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL is an apolitical look at what makes America beautiful, and the positive stories of the American people who try to make each day a wonderful experience filled with unity and smiles.  It may sound a bit corny, but it’s not.  People want a positive story to be told, and in watching your videos and visiting your website, BMP gives off a warm and welcoming feeling.

To be honest, I had never heard of your facility, but people from Nashville suggested your location / tour when we described our concept.

We’re covering most the US states, and not a single facility has turned us down to date.

Ultimately, I would like to tour the grounds and get some shots inside estate.  I’d like to interview someone from the facility who can drive home what it’s all about without coming across like an infomercial.

It is an amazing opportunity for more people to know about your facility.  The Jackson estate was also suggested but something about your place jumped out at me.

In closing, my timeframe is tight so I ask for an answer back asap so I can make other arrangements if it won’t work.

I would like to arrive at 9:30am and do the filming for two hours.  Then at 1130 – 1pm, we’d have a lunch at the restaurant with about 20 people from your area.  These are the people who suggested I look into your facility.”

This morning, James responded with this message:

“Dennis,
I love your concept and am grateful to be considered for it…what day are you wanting to arrive?”

After telling him the date, which is Friday May 18, and explaining once again what we plan on doing with the film and the estimated crowd size for lunch, I asked for a price per head and explained how much we appreciate what they do at the facility — thus, stating we would not cause any sort of interruptions to their tours.  Minutes later, I received back a rejection email.

“Dennis, Regretfully we don't allow outside film companies on the grounds, but thank you so much for your inquiry. We appreciate the referral from other Nashvillians and wish you the best of luck in finding the perfect venue.”

Go to YouTube and there are tons of videos showcasing BMP.  Many are recorded by outside companies and news outlets.  Furthermore, the unprofessionalism of this man’s approach should not be overlooked.  He sent emails and made a phone call to us stating his interest in our documentary, thus, leading me to believe all was fine.

There is no place for this sort of poor treatment.  It showcases the ugliness that plaques our nation and what we are trying to avoid in this film.  Unfortunately, the warm southern hospitality James tries to give off in his videos appears to be a load of BS.   We’ll give our money and time to someone else in the area, and be sure to highlight BMP in our film but in a much different light.

If you are disgusted by this man’s emails and treatment of TEAM DML, perhaps voicing your opinions to BMP isn’t such a bad thing?  Phone number below.  If nothing else, perhaps consider twice where you visit when in Nashville.

NOTE: If you have signed up to have lunch with us in Nashville, we will be picking a different place where people are treated better.

VIDEO: Stormy Daniels’ lawyer makes claim about Trump’s term in office

Posted: 03 May 2018 09:30 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by FreeBeacon:

Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing adult film actress Stormy Daniels, said Wednesday night he thinks President Donald Trump will not serve out his term as president and will be forced to resign.

CNN anchor Don Lemon asked Avenatti about the recent comments from Trump’s new attorney Rudy Giuliani revealing the president reimbursed his personal attorney for the $130,000 payment to Daniels, which is contrary to the president’s earlier statements about the matter.

The article goes on to state the following:

“What do you think this means legally, if anything, for the president?” Lemon asked.

“Well, I think this shows that the president has significant potential criminal liability for felonies associated with campaign finance violations as well as potential money laundering violations as well as potential fraud violations relating to these law firm invoices that we’ve now heard about,” Avenattis said. “I mean, this opens the pandoras box if you will into serious, serious issues for Donald Trump.”

Avenatti added that he thinks Trump will not serve out his term as president and that he will be forced to resign.

“I’m going to say it again, Mr. Trump will not serve out his term,” Avenatti said. “No way, no how. he will be forced to ultimately resign. This is a bombshell.”

REPORT: Comey slams Giuliani for remark on New York FBI

Posted: 03 May 2018 09:16 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by TheHill.com:

Former FBI Director James Comey slammed Rudy Giuliani on Thursday after the former New York mayor and current presidential lawyer compared the New York FBI to Nazi stormtroopers.

Comey in a tweet said the U.S. would be better off if its nations tried to emulate the agents, “rather than comparing them to Nazis.”

Comey tweeted Thursday morning, “I know the New York FBI. There are no "stormtroopers" there; just a group of people devoted to the rule of law and the truth. Our country would be better off if our leaders tried to be like them, rather than comparing them to Nazis.”

The article goes on to state the following:

Giuliani made the comments late Wednesday during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity in which he targeted the FBI agents who raided the office and hotel room of President Trump‘s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. Authorities seized emails, tax documents and records related to Cohen’s payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels.

“The settlement payment, which is a very regular thing for lawyers to do. The question there was, the only possible violation there would be: Was it a campaign finance violation? Which usually results in a fine, by the way, not this big stormtroopers coming in and breaking down his apartment and breaking down his office,” Giuliani told Hannity.

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by TheHill.com:

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to comedian Michelle Wolf’s jokes about her during the White House correspondents’ dinner last week, saying the evening reflected more on Wolf than it did on her.

The article goes on to state the following:

“I think that evening says a whole lot more about her than it does about me,” Sanders said on “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday.

“The people who were my friends before that evening are my friends today, and I am going to continue doing the job that I came here to do every single day. I am very proud that I work in this administration for this president, and we’re going to keep pushing forward, doing everything we can to make America better,” she continued.

“We’ve had a great first year and a half at doing that, a huge success story that we’re proud of, and I hope that she can find some of the same happiness that we all have, and I think she may need a little bit more of that in her life because the rest of us are doing great,” she said.

REPORT: Former CBS anchor faces new sexual harassment claims

Posted: 03 May 2018 08:32 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by WASHINGTONEXAMINER.COM:

Charlie Rose, the longtime journalist whose career collapsed last year following claims of sexual misconduct, is facing new allegations that he behaved inappropriately with women he previously worked with.

The Washington Post reported Thursday on several new claims by various women who said Rose, who worked with CBS and PBS, groped them and made suggestive comments.

The report also said upper management at CBS was aware of the allegations but took no action.

The article goes on to state the following:

The allegations against Rose went as far back as 1976, according to the report. Executives for CBS denied any knowledge of Rose’s alleged misconduct.

Rose only told the Post in a statement, “Your story is unfair and inaccurate."

Rose was fired in November from CBS, where he co-hosted the “This Morning” weekday program. That same month PBS dropped his interview program.

The Washington Post report included the following new information:

Incidents of sexual misconduct by Charlie Rose were far more numerous than previously known, according to a new investigation by The Washington Post, which also found three occasions over a period of 30 years in which CBS managers were warned of his conduct toward women at the network.

An additional 27 women — 14 CBS News employees and 13 who worked with him elsewhere — said Rose sexually harassed them. Concerns about Rose's behavior were flagged to managers at the network as early as 1986 and as recently as April 2017, when Rose was co-anchor of "CBS This Morning," according to multiple people with firsthand knowledge of the conversations.

How American students are scoring on tests

Posted: 03 May 2018 07:46 AM PDT

The 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress revealed that there has been little or no improvement among American school students in mathematics and reading skills over the past year.

Released April 10, the assessment, also known as the Nation's Report Card, was based on tests of students across the United States which were organized by the Department of Education.

The report noted that only about one-third of 8th grade students, generally 13-14-year-olds, were considered proficient in reading and math.

Proficiency was defined by the Department of Education as "solid academic performance." Students considered proficient possess a good knowledge of the subject and can use that knowledge in real-world situations. Such students are also capable of using analytical skills related to the subject.

Approximately 40 percent of 4th graders were found to be proficient in reading and math. Only 25 percent of 12th grade students were proficient in math, although 37 percent had achieved proficiency in reading.

According to VOA Learning English, 38 percent of 4th graders were rated proficient in science, while approximately 34 percent of 8th graders demonstrated proficiency.

The results noted in the latest report were similar to those found in recent years.

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos released a statement regarding the report, noting that "The Report Card is in, and the results are clear: We can and we must do better for America's students. Our nation's reading and math scores continue to stagnate."

DeVos indicated concern regarding the major differences found between the highest and lowest performing students, with differences widening, despite billions of dollars being spent in an effort to reduce the gap.

REPORT: Obama ethics lawyer releases Twitter storm on Giuliani’s Stormy revelation

Posted: 03 May 2018 07:38 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by WASHINGTONEXAMINER.COM:

The head of a government watchdog group said the Justice Department has plenty of reason to investigate whether President Trump knowingly omitted information on his federal financial disclosures, following the revelation late Wednesday that he reimbursed his personal lawyer for a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep silent about her alleged affair with his client.

In a series of tweets, Norman Eisen, a one-time Obama White House ethics lawyer and chairman of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said Trump may have committed a crime.

The article goes on to state the following:

"This is more than enough for DOJ to investigate whether Trump intentionally omitted from his federal financial disclosures the $130,000 owed to Cohen & so violated 18 USC 1001, a crime," Eisen tweeted early Thursday morning.

Eisen shared a link to a letter CREW sent to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Acting Director of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics David Apol in March advocating for them to launch an investigation into whether the payment or the LLC that Cohen created to funnel the money to Daniels "constituted a loan to President Trump that he should have reported as a liability on his public financial disclosure ("OGE 278") report, and if President Trump knowingly and willfully failed to report it."

DML: I Respond to Some of Your Emails

Posted: 03 May 2018 07:24 AM PDT

Below are my responses to some of the emails you’ve sent me.

To send an email or message, please use WeTrustDML@gmail.com or the submit news button.

NOTE: There will be no 10am show on Thursday due to our last mile of efforts to get new DML APP launched.  I will move program to 4pm for today, and it will be a Walk & Talk.

FROM MAGGIE
I am so excited for you to come to California on your tour and would like you to meet with my family and friends who will cook you an amazing meatloaf in San Diego. Are you coming this way? Please say yes. THIS HOUSE LOVES DML.

DML: Hi Maggie, we are stopping in SD. Not sure about what day and time, but we are at some point. We have launched a new page for people to monitor our TOUR developments, stops, times, etc. It’s at the top of the navigation bar at DMLNews.com. You can get it from clicking here.

FROM NO NAME
Again Bob Dukto WMUZ 103.5 is by far the most level and fair reporting I have seen yet.
I love your news but your still way too judgmental and not wholly fair on your reporting for many of the good things the President has done. There is bad with the good I admit. Personal struggles everyone has but how you are handling it towards the President is crazy. He has to handle all the pressures of running the country and with his family and wife on the Stormy issue. Easy to throw stones Dennis. Wish you could be a bit more professional. Stop by in Michigan and I will barbecue you and your crew a dinner.

DML: I can tell you of all the amazing invitations the wonderful people who support us continue to send, there’s a better chance of Trump walking on water than me stopping to say hello to someone who sends the sort of email you did today.  In addition to you failing to give your name, you prove to me that you can’t love our news like you claim.  How can you? According to your email, I am not only crazy, but we don’t report on Trump’s positive accomplishments — a crazy statement in of itself.  That said, I would not want to soil your sparkling BBQ with my lack of professionalism, therefore, I’m going to reserve the one-on-one dinners for people who send me their name, and demonstrate the ability to have adult conversations about how important it is for the media to keep our president and government officials accountable.  I suggest you send an invite to either Trump or Stormy Daniels for dinner. Don’t know much about Bob, but Trump and Stormy are uber professional.  Don’t you agree?  Or maybe you should invite one of the Fox News hosts who act as PR agents for the president, they tour the country by car all the time meeting with the American people, right?  Maybe Trump will bring you a free copy of Ainsley’s new book he tweeted about making #1 earlier today.  Yeah, just what we professionals in the media should be doing, making her book #1.  NOTE TO SELF: Don’t answer emails like this one again.

FROM HOLLY
I was watching television tonight when I saw an ad – a long one! – about Facebook making big changes. Looks to me like what you said about the congressional hearings about Facebook changing nothing is true. They will only support fluff and liberalism and make sure conservatism is snuffed out on their platform. It's strange to see that ad. I wish I had never gotten involved with Facebook. It's a great way to stay connected to friends and family but it's promotion of liberalism is horrible and it's value as Informational is almost nil. I hope new and better platforms are developed. Facebook could have been great, as a centrally organizing point of contact for people everywhere. But now that it is devoted to being a brainwashing tool, it's inevitably going to lose users.

DML: If I had a dollar for every email I receive stating how something I said would happen actually turned out to actually happen, I would be a very wealthy man.  That said, Facebook is a company stuck in a vortex of bad leadership and it’s path will be rocky for a long time.  Eventually massive lawsuits are going to bring it to its knees.

FROM LARRY
Loved your video, ” They Come to America.” Please get the word out on northern border…Canada / Us is open to Islam terror. DML NEWS and Hannity would be great.

DML: When you get to They Come to America 3, you will see I cover the northern border.  Side note, those people who ordered the trilogy to get the president to sign an executive order for mandatory e-verify.

FROM VAL
FACEBOOK. Hi. You may already be aware of this, but wanted to share just in case. I noticed all of your posts that Facebook asks the question if your post is hate speech. I wonder if this is another way FB is messing with you? If there are enough trolls out there that click on “yes”, FB may try to use that against you. Thanks for everything you do!!

DML: That and not allowing people not to share.

New guidance on how to diagnose lyme disease

Posted: 03 May 2018 07:04 AM PDT

New guidance regarding the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease has been published by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence in the United Kingdom.

Lyme disease is caused by bacteria spread via tick bites. When diagnosed early, the disease can usually be treated easily with antibiotics. Left undiagnosed, Lyme disease can result in serious health issues, including heart problems, arthritis and meningitis.

NICE advised doctors and specialists to use clinical judgement to assess patients' symptoms, noting that Lyme disease can cause a circular red rash, known as an erythema migrans, in the days and weeks following a tick bite. Patients presenting with such a rash can be immediately diagnosed by doctors and prescribed antibiotics for treatment, The Pharmaceutical Journal reported.

If a patient has not developed a rash, lab tests can be used to confirm a diagnosis as the symptoms of Lyme disease, which include headache, fever and joint pain, are similar to those associated with other medical conditions.

"This new guideline will help raise awareness and drive up the standard of care right now on the NHS so we can spot Lyme disease sooner and provide people with prompt treatment," said Mark Baker, director of the NICE center for guidelines. "Our committee reviewed the best available evidence and identified gaps in what we know about prevalence in this country and the benefit of long-term treatment options.”

Baker recommended, "Further research into Lyme disease should be a high-priority area in the UK so we can continue to improve care."

How child porn investigators are shifting gears

Posted: 03 May 2018 06:53 AM PDT

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement victim identification program in northern Virginia is transforming investigations into child pornography and leading to an increased number of arrests.

By studying child pornography images and videos, ICE investigators identify leads in some of their unique elements, such as an unusual tree, the sound of a train whistle, the chirping of birds, the logo on a T-shirt — the metadata contained in photos and videos, including information that reveals time and location. The most useful clues are often found in mundane photos that have been uploaded by abusers seeking to prove that they have access to children.

Previous efforts to stem child pornography were focused on prosecuting its consumers. Law enforcement officials and advocates claimed that more enforcement tactics were required. Therefore, officials have directed their focus on identifying and rescuing the victims, an approach that is also netting an increasing number of offenders.

Since 2013, law enforcement agencies have identified at least 9,400 juvenile victims of online sexual exploitation, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. In the preceding decade, there were approximately 5,000 such identifications, referred to by officials as "rescues" because the children are often removed from abusive environments.

Lindsey Olson of the nonprofit National Center said, "Law enforcement has really made a huge effort in this area."

The Wall Street Journal reported, “The internet and the ‘dark web’—a portion of the internet that is only accessible with special software and is often used by criminals—are awash in child pornography, with abusers and viewers swapping videos and photographs as if they were baseball cards, law-enforcement officials say. Last year, the National Center reviewed more than 34 million images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children 17 and under. Its cyber tip line recorded more than 8 million abuse-related reports.”

Crimes involving child pornography are investigated by agents at ICE, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Postal Inspection Service, as well as state and local police.

The change in investigative techniques was inspired by ICE agent James Cole, a former policeman and U.S. Army intelligence officer, who realized that identifying the victims of child pornography had multiple benefits. When rescued, the children received badly needed psychological support, they were removed from hostile environments, and the offenders were often apprehended.

Judge makes ruling on Iran payments to 9/11 victims

Posted: 03 May 2018 06:43 AM PDT

An American judge ruled on Tuesday that Iran is liable for the deaths of more than 1,000 people in the 9/11 terror attacks and must pay a settlement of $6 billion to victims.

Judge George B. Daniels of the Southern District Court of New York ruled that "the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and The Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran are liable for the deaths of more than 1,000 people as a result of the September 11 attacks."

According to court filings, the settlement payment equates to "$12,500,000 per spouse, $8,500,000 per parent, $8,500,000 per child, and $4,250,000 per sibling" to the families and estates of the deceased. The payments include an annual 4.1 percent interest rate from 2001, the year the attacks occurred.

The lawsuit was filed in 2004 by Thomas Burnett Sr., but it was only allowed to proceed in 2016 after Congress passed the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, which permitted individual citizens to file lawsuits against countries accused of financing terrorism.

"In December 2011, a New York federal court held a hearing and found that the evidence presented established that Iran's provision of material support to al-Qaeda was a cause of the 9/11 attacks and the resulting damage, injuries, and deaths," prosecutor Robert Haefele said in court.

"It is difficult for those injured or left behind to ignore the findings of the federal court about Iran's culpability," Haefele noted. "But those findings should not overshadow the mountain of evidence presented against Saudi Arabia, which remains central to the plaintiffs' case."

Iranian officials were accused in the lawsuit of supporting the hijackers of the planes used in the 9/11 attacks with training and other forms of assistance.

Published in 2004, the 9/11 commission report found no direct evidence of Iranian involvement in the attacks, but acknowledged that some of the hijackers traveled through Iran without passport stamps prior to flying to Afghanistan for training.

Breitbart reported, that the judge’s ruling “remains merely symbolic,” with Iran unlikely to pay the settlement “given their vehement denial any involvement.”

The September 11, 2001, attacks remain the largest and most significant terrorist events in American history, leaving 2,996 people dead and injuring more than 6,000 others.
