Let's be real, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard aren't going to be winning any "Parents of the Year" awards anytime soon.
This is for many reasons.
One is that they're Duggars, so many people think they practice potentially abusive techniques like blanket training, which, if you're new, is basically putting your baby on a blanket and beating him whenever he leaves it.
So, you know, he gets scared to go anywhere off the blanket and you can cook or craft or take care of your 12 other kids or whatever.
Another issue with Jill and Derick is that they've both said some not-so-nice things about their two precious sons, Israel and Samuel.
There are all the times that they've taken the kids to dangerous locations -- they even went to Central America during her second pregnancy when the Zika virus was a huge concern.
We could name tons of other instances in which their parenting has been criticized, but you get the picture, right?
Lots of people aren't fans of lots of the things these people do with their kids.
And now that we've got that out of the way, let's move on to the latest issue!
Jill and Duggar recently uploaded a whole bunch of pictures to their family website, and that's nice of them.
Since they got fired from Counting On for Derick's bizarre transphobic rants about Jazz Jennings, it's really the only way fans can keep up with them.
While there were several cute photos of little Israel and Sam doing things like cuddling in a toddler bed and playing and visiting other relatives, one stood out.
It's this one of Sam:
So that's terrifying, right?
Sam is only a year old, and there's no arguing that this is just not safe.
"Sam is a climber," they captioned the photo, and yeah, we can see that.
But those kinds of chairs aren't that stable, and the way he's perched right on the arm and leaning on the back ...
It really looks like he's just a slip away from a serious accident.
And you know the folks over on Reddit were not pleased with all of this.
One user from the Counting On subreddit asked "How are they not getting him tf off of there? Why on earth would you take a photo? Doesn't seem like the best parenting."
"Like ... kids do stuff and you can't always stop it ... but if you can stop it, you do," another person wrote. "You don't just take a picture."
As someone else pointed out, "Plus taking the picture just reinforces the kids behavior because it's giving them positive attention."
Another good point was made with "You'd think after experiencing TWO traumatic births, they'd be a little more careful with their kids."
It really is just a weird photo, you know?
Many toddlers do like to climb, and some can climb themselves to dangerous situations before you can get to them.
But as these Reddit users explained, the bad part is that instead of getting Sam down before he could fall, they paused to take a picture.
And then they posted the picture on their website.
It's almost like they enjoy the criticism, isn't it?

Larissa Dos Santos Lima is facing a domestic violence charge for allegedly attacking husband Colt Johnson last week.
The criminal complaint - which comes on the heels of an ugly and well-publicized fight between the 90 Day Fiance stars - states that Larissa "did willfully and unlawfully use force or violence against or upon the person of her spouse."
TMZ has obtained the complaint and was the first website to publish this excerpt from it.
The charge is a misdemeanor and was filed Wednesday in Vegas.
As we've documented in detail, Larissa was taken into custody very early last Friday morning after some sort of confrontation with Johnson that resulted in his bloody lip.
Larissa also shared a number of photos online that allegedly depicted what Johnson had done to her face -- but police on the scene determined these wounds (such as the one below) were self-inflicted.
Just hours after his wife was arrested, Johnson filed for divorce.
We've seen reported on how Colt is trying to expediate this process, telling a judge he doesn't want spousal support and that the couple owned no joint property...
... and that he basically wants to be done with Larissa as quickly as legally possible.
The TLC personalities had made plenty of headlines together long before this unfortunate incident.
Late last year, Johnson admitted to having cheated on his wife; while Larissa was also arrested on a domestic battery charge in November, although it was eventually dropped.
In this latest instance, Johnson told cops Larissa became enraged after learning he subscribed to an adult entertainment website.
She accused him of cheating again.
According to the police report, Colt said Larissa had downed half a bottle of antidepressants and was suicidal.
For her part, Larissa alleged that Colt was the aggressor, scratching her in the face and on her torso.
However, cops investigated both sides and believed that Johnson was telling the truth; hence the arrest last Friday around 5 a.m.
In the days since this violent back-and-forth, both Colt and Larissa have posted messages on Instagram.
The former explained to followers how he simply doesn't understand Dos Santos Lima and said he has paid for absolutely everything on her behalf since she moved to America.
Here is a snippet of what he wrote online after filing for divorce:
Larissa, meanwhile, tried to start a GoFundMe account so that fans could help pay for her split and her "new life."
But those behind this fundraising service took down her page for some reason.
"Thank you all who donated on my go fund me campaign. I raised the money I need! When I feel better I will make a video to thank you and I will mention every single donor," she wrote on Instagram on Saturday, sharing that she had a court date for Febriary 12.
This is what she had previously written about the situation on her social media account:
Johnson and Dos Santos Lima married last June after meeting on an online dating website.
He proposed after a mere 11 days together, after which she moved (from Brazil) to Las Vegas to be with him.
Their relationship was documented on season six of 90 Day Fiance, the reality program that follows couples who have applied for or received a K-1 visa available to foreign fiances of US citizens.
They then have 90 days to decide to marry before the visa expires and the foreign half must leave the nation.

She might not be aware of it, but we've been beefing with Wendy Williams here at The Hollywood Gossip for many years now.
We simply haven't been able to stand the way she desperately seeks attention by making cruel, outlandish statements about her fellow celebrities.
Our point here is not to rehash these issues, but to actually call a truce and to wish Williams well.
Why? Because the talk show host has been hospitalized due to complications from Graves Disease.
"As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend. Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves' Disease that will require treatment," reads a statement from her family, which continues as follow:
"Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital
"Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being."
Williams broke her shoulder in December and then started to worry fans when she slurred her words on-air.
She later apologized and blamed the painkillers she was taking at the time.
Since then, Williams has delayed her show's return on two occasions.
It was originally supposed to return shortly after the New Year -- but was pushed back to January 14.
It was then delayed another week and will now be on indefinite hiatus.
Concludes this most recent statement:
"Wendy thanks everyone in advance for their well-wishes and for respecting her and The Hunter Family's privacy during this time."
In early 2018, Williams also took an extended break after her diagnosis of Graves Disease
This is an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones (hyperthyroidism).
Symptoms often include anxiety, hand tremor, heat sensitivity, weight loss, puffy eyes and enlarged thyroid.
It's a pretty serious illness and Williams addressed her reation to the diagnosis last March.
"There's was just a mess going on inside my body," she said on Good Morning America.
Continued the polarizing TV personality at the time:
"We, as women, particularly if we have families, you know, we're taking care of children, we're taking care of our home, our husbands, we take care of everybody but ourselves.
"I'm not doing that anymore... Wendy first!"
Says the production company behind the Wendy Williams Show:
For over ten years, Wendy has been a vital part of the Debmar-Mercury family.
We wholeheartedly support Wendy in this decision to take the time she needs and we will welcome her back with open arms the moment she is ready.
Of course, because this is the Internet, gossip and innuendo abound.
With rumors swirling about her husband's affair, some are wondering whether Williams is simply shunning the spotlight for awhile and using her health as an excuse.
We're not saying that.
But some out there most definitely have been.

Earlier this week, the celebrity gossip world was stunned by news that Rob Kardashian is dating Alexis Skyy.
There are numerous reasons why so many were floored by this revelation:
Being unemployed, living with his mom, and subjecting his exes to stalking and revenge porn campaigns haven't exactly made Rob the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood.
Despite that, Rob is apparently quite in demand in the world of semi-well-known Instagram models.
In fact, it was recently rumored that Rob was banging Alexis and Summer Bunni (best known as the woman with whom Offset cheated on Cardi B) at the same time.
But it seems Alexis has now emerged victorious in the battle for Rob's dong.
Many skeptics have suggested that Rob's sudden popularity with fame-seeking young women might have to less to do with his charm and more to do with his famous last name.
We're 100 percent inclined to agree with those skeptics, but it seems Alexis finds such theorizing offensive.
These days, Rob's baby mama, Blac Chyna, is dating a rapper named Kid Buu.
And it seems Buu is among the many who think there's something fishy about Rob and Alexis' unexpected romance.
"You really wit Rob's fat ass for love or is it just for clout," he recently commented on Alexis' Instagram page.
"To answer ur question… I love Rob," she replied back directly.
Wow. Yeah, that just happened.
Alexis is already declaring her love for Rob.
To be fair, no one really knows how long these two have been going out.
They just went public when Rob declared Alexis his "WCW" this past Wednesday, but it's possible they've been involved for much longer than that.
Or maybe they're just moving extremely fast, as Rob tends to do.
Hey, what's the worst that could happen?
Other than, ya know, Rob and Alexis end up filing numerous lawsuits against each other following an ugly breakup involving multiple allegations of domestic violence.
But what are the odds that that's gonna happen to Rob two relationships in a row?

Despite Meghan Markle's new life as a royal, there is still hope she will take a break from expensive gowns and tea and return to where it all began, the stage!
Yes, that's right. If you missed her breakthrough role on Suits, don't fret. There is still a chance that you can catch the Duchess in a theatre near you!
Ok... well maybe just London's National Theatre first.
The Duchess of Sussex was announced as the new Royal Patron to the theatre that sits on the South Bank of the Thames, in London. The Queen herself passed down the patronage to Meghan after holding the role for 45 years.
I suspect the Queen knew exactly what she was doing and like us, would love to see Meghan grace the stage (and maybe one day screen) again soon.
The patronage reflects Meghan's beliefs "In using the arts to bring people from different backgrounds and communities together, according to the National Theatre.
Leading royal historian Robert Lacey told People his thoughts and opinions on how it could happen.
He thinks "Meghan's new patronage of the National Theatre presents fascinating opportunities" for the former star.
Of course, she may choose to stay involved from the audience, but I like to think the mom to be still has some spark left in her!
Lacey, a consultant for the Netflix hit The Crown says in this week's issue of People, "if Meghan is ever missing the excitement of acting, this will put her back in touch with show business in a very creative way. It is tailor-made for her and she will throw herself into it."
He also believes the Duchess will even take part at some point and be involved with productions or even directing something herself.
Lacey adds that "the National Theatre has quite a radical record of tackling the difficult social issues of the moment and for innovating new plays and productions - so that might be an area where she might add her influence."
So, could the past actress-turned-Duchess REALLY come home to the stage?
"It's not out of the question that we'd see a member of the royal family performing on the stage of the National Theatre one day."
Ok, universe! I'm talking to you, please make this happen!

R. Kelly has been condemned by Time's Up, by the general public, and by his accusers.
Now, Sony Music has finally taken an important step and dissolved their working relationship with R. Kelly.
Variety reports that Sony Music has finally dropped R. Kelly.
That is great news, but we probably should not expect to hear some major announcement any time soon.
"Kelly's presence on the RCA website (where he remains listed) will not indicate his departure from the company," Variety notes.
The report explains: "as his back catalog will remain with RCA/Sony."
Kelly's last album for Sony was a Christmas-motif project in 2016.
He has released several songs independently in the few years since, but that was presumably with Sony's consent, as Variety notes.
This move is not a coincidence.
The women's group Ultraviolet commissioned a plane to fly a "RCA/Sony: Drop Sexual Predator R. Kelly" banner over Sony Music's Los Angeles offices.
At the same time, there was a live protest at Sony's New York office.
But it's more than that.
The public outcry about R. Kelly has been ongoing for years.
In recent weeks, however, it has risen to an outraged roar.
Over the past couple of years, a number of courageous women have given detailed interviews about their own personal traumas.
They have described the horrors of R. Kelly's alleged sex cult, sharing tales of violence, starvation, grooming, and abuse.
Then, in 2018, Time's Up -- which grew out of the #MeToo movement -- launched the #MuteRKelly campaign.
Supporting the music means supporting the man, and who could sleep at night after supporting R. Kelly?
Everything came to a head just weeks ago when the harrowing Surviving R. Kelly docuseries aired.
Lifetime aired several episodes of survivors speaking directly about their nightmarish experiences, while others who knew Kelly spoke of what they had witnessed.
Reading about R. Kelly is one thing. Listening to survivors speak can be even more haunting.
This is not the first time that Sony has shown that executives are very conscious of public opinion.
We are all uncomfortably familiar with notorious creep Dr. Luke's relentless legal battle to prevent Kesha from gaining professional independence.
Kesha accuses the disgraced producer of sexual abuse, and her story elicited sympathy from all over the globe.
Public outcry was part of the equation.
The other part was big-name celebrities speaking out. Adele told the thousands who came to see her that she supports Kesha.
Lady Gaga voiced her support. Taylor Swift helped directly, sending Kesha a check to help pay for her legal battle.
Stories leaked from within Sony of execs trying to figure out how they could sever all ties with Dr. Luke.
Other parts of the music industry have tried to enact policies to deal with accused sexual predators.
In 2018, Spotify tried to institute a policy that would deplatform monsters.
The streaming behemoth briefly penalized two of the most vile men in the music industry: R. Kelly and XXXTentacion.
R. Kelly has been accused of sexual predation, particularly upon minors, for years.
XXXTentacion was famously accused of multiple acts of extreme violence, damaging his girlfriend's skull and delivering a homophobic beatdown.
Ultimately, Spotify walked back their vaguely defined policy due to a number of issues.
(Pro-tip: a policy that bans the scum of the earth is great, but it cannot look like you're only banning black men)
While people don't have to worry about XXXTentacion anymore, unfortunately R. Kelly remains free.
But R. Kelly might not be free forever.
While it is true that he was able to weasel out of child pornography charges in 2000, public pressure impacts more people than just Sony execs.
Nothing is guaranteed, especially when the women believed to be his current victims are unlikely to dare speak against him.
But that is something, and if reports are to be believed, he is really feeling the pressure -- perhaps for the first time in decades.
Sony Music dropping R. Kelly is a hell of a good start, but it's just the beginning.

Dean McDermott is truly aghast at the moment.
He's simply at a loss for how strangers can act on the Internet.
And while we've never exactly been a fan of Tori Spelling's annoying husband, we must admit here:
The guy has a point.
Earlier this week, McDermott shared a photo of his wife and their five kids on Instagram, giving followers a look at a cute brood comprised of: Liam, 11, Stella, 10, Hattie, 7, Finn, 6, and Beau, 1.
(Seriously, these two have A LOT of kids!)
Expecting a few heart emojis at best and a simple lack of popularity on the post at worst, McDermott was subsequently taken aback by some of the comments alongside the photo.
"Why do you let your kids get so fat?" one person asked, while another remarked on how they all looked "terrible."
Stunned by the criticism his kids encountered from these trolls, the 52-year old shot back as follows:
I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments being left about my children. Body shaming and bullying my children??!! What is wrong with you people??!!
As mentioned previously, we've been rather critical of both McDermott and Spelling over the years, considering how often they seem to try and profit off their family.
Not to mention how irritating it has become to continually track the status of their marriage.
Like, are they getting divorced or not?!? It's an easy question.
But we agree with Dean in this case.
Call us crazy, but we think trashing a bunch of toddlers as overweight and/or unattractive is simply over the line and unacceptable.
Good on McDermott for calling these losers out!
The picture in question (below) was snapped of the family at a screening for the film A Dog's Way Home, and Dean expounded in his clapback to offer some context about his family's appearance.
"For your information, we went from a long day at school to the movie. And I don't know any child that is NOT disheveled at the end of the day.
"Not to mention that just before this picture was taken, they were wrestling and running around with all the other kids that were at the movie."
He really didn't need to justify the way everyone looks here, but we understand the instinct.
McDermott wasn't done, either:
So I apologize we didn't get the iron and steamer out to make them perfect for you. Their kids. They're messy and dirty. That's what they do.
And what's wrong with shopping at Target??!! Over half of America shops there. The way they grow out of clothing so quickly is astounding.
Are we supposed to shop at Gucci?? These are kids folks. Messy stinky little bundles of fun, laughter and love.
And this is how he wrapped up:
They're going through different growth phases, and even if our children are on the bigger side. Who cares.
They're happy and healthy and I'm sorry they don't look like skinny supermodels. People come in all shapes and sizes.
So who are you to judge. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for passing such horrible judgement on innocent beautiful children.
Shame on you all!!!! Thank you to all the people who came to our defense. You're all kind compassionate souls. Down with the haters!! Up with love!!
