REPORT: Lawsuit Claims Dem Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee Fired Staffer Who Planned To Sue Over An Alleged Rape

Posted: 17 Jan 2019 09:34 AM PST

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by BUZZFEEDNEWS.COM:

WASHINGTON — A former staffer for Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee claims in a new lawsuit that the lawmaker retaliated against her and fired her because she was planning to pursue legal action over an alleged rape by a former employee of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

The woman, identified in court papers by the pseudonym Jane Doe, alleges she was raped in October 2015, when she was a 19-year-old intern for the CBCF, by the foundation's intern coordinator at the time, Damien Jones. The woman said she reported the alleged rape to police and told several people, including Rep. Terri Sewell, her former boss and a distant relative of her mother's, but did not pursue legal action at the time.

The article goes on to state the following:

Several years later, when Jane Doe was working for Jackson Lee, the woman decided she did want to pursue legal action, and told Jackson Lee's chief of staff Glenn Rushing in early March 2018. The woman alleges that she asked to speak with Jackson Lee about it, but a meeting never happened, and several weeks later she was fired. Jackson Lee is chair of the board for the CBCF.

Jones reportedly left the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation in late 2015, and recently served as the regional political director for the senate campaign of Beto O’Rourke in Texas. O’Rourke’s campaign denied any knowledge of the rape allegations, and stated they “no longer have a relationship” with Jones.

REPORT: Former O’Rourke campaign director accused of rape in bombshell case against Dem congresswoman

Posted: 17 Jan 2019 09:13 AM PST

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by FreeBeacon:

Damien Jones, who recently served as Beto O’Rourke’s regional political director during his unsuccessful senate bid, is named in a new lawsuit suit against Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D., Texas) and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation for their handling of a rape allegation against him.

A former CBCF intern alleges in the lawsuit that she was raped by Jones, who at the time was 30 years old and the CBCF’s intern coordinator, in October 2015 when she was 19 years old, according to BuzzFeed. The intern alleging Jones raped her is identified in court papers by the pseudonym Jane Doe.

The article goes on to state the following:

The lawsuit does not indicate whether criminal charges were brought against Jones and there is no criminal case against him in the District of Columbia Superior Court. However, the lawsuit does say Jane Doe told the CBCF in October 2016 that she planned to file a lawsuit, but decided not to do so at the time.

The O’Rourke campaign reportedly responded with the following statement: “The Beto for Texas campaign was absolutely not aware of these allegations until today and no longer has a relationship with Damien Jones.”

The Washington Free Beacon posted a multitude of old Twitter posts by Damien Jones, about his relationships with women:

Jones claimed women in Phoenix were “amazing,” then recommended that men should go to Wal-Mart alone or with other men to view the “eye candy.”

“If you want to see some beautiful but scantily clad women, don’t go to the club, take a stroll through Wal-Mart. You may find ur soulmate,” he wrote in one tweet.

In another tweet, he suggested church was a great place to look at women too, writing, “From a male perspective, its too many to choose from in the church. That’s why I go. I look at the women most of the service @yesitismia.”

It has been pointed out that the huge story on the case against Sheila Jackson Lee is burying the main point, that the person accused of the rape is someone who worked on Beto O’Rourke’s campaign.

REPORT: U.S. Spent $22 Million on Secret Project to Identify Threats in Space

Posted: 17 Jan 2019 08:48 AM PST

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by FreeBeacon:

The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency disclosed this week that, from 2007 to 2012, it spent $22 million on bizarre science projects aimed at tracking and identifying potential threats in space.

The DIA this week made public the names of 38 research projects “funded by the program, many of which are highly conjectural and well beyond the boundaries of current science, engineering—or military intelligence,” according to the Federation of American Scientists, or FAS, which filed freedom of information requests to unearth the information.

The article goes on to state the following:

The programs—all of which have now been shutdown—range from the theoretically possible to the completely farfetched. Such titles include, “Invisibility Cloaking,” “Traversable Wormholes,” “Antigravity Aerospace Applications,” and “Warp Drive, Dark Energy, and the Manipulation of Extra Dimensions,” among others.

BREAKING: Three Mexican presidents linked to El Chapo corruption as trial raises bribery claims

Posted: 17 Jan 2019 08:41 AM PST

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by FOXNEWS.COM:

And then there were three.

In a trial in federal court in New York that is turning out to be about far more than Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, the Mexican drug lord, a court document that was unsealed Wednesday claimed bribes by cartels were paid to former president Felipe Calderon and to a former campaign worker of current President  Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The article goes on to state the following:

The assertion of corruption came just a day after the bombshell — by witness Alex Cifuentes Villa, a Colombian drug trafficker who worked with El Chapo from 2007 to 2013 — that former Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto attempted to squeeze $250 million in bribes from the kingpin shortly after he took office in 2012.

The court document, which the U.S. government sought to keep sealed, saying it was irrelevant to its case against El Chapo, referred to a bribe that was paid by a brother of Sinaloa cartel leader Ismael Zambada to an unidentified man who worked López Obrador's unsuccessful 2006 presidential campaign, reported Vice News.

VIDEO: Omar Sputters When Pressed to Defend Calling Graham ‘Compromised’

Posted: 17 Jan 2019 08:23 AM PST

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by FreeBeacon:

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) struggled to defend a tweet accusing Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) of being “compromised” on Thursday, saying the proof was in how he was acting but giving no evidence and eventually saying it was just her opinion.

CNN anchor Jim Sciutto, prefacing his question by saying “we need to ask you about this,” read out her tweet and asked her to explain what she meant. Graham has been accused by some progressives of being blackmailed by the White House over being gay; Graham is a lifelong bachelor who is straight, and while he has aligned with President Donald Trump on some issues, he has also blasted him over his foreign policy.

The article goes on to state the following:

Omar’s answer spiraled into various theories about how he was compromised without giving any evidence.
