REPORT: Dems question Beto O’Rourke loyalty to party after he declined to endorse a Democrat in a competitive Texas district

Posted: 19 Jan 2019 10:02 AM PST

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by NYTimes.com:

For a moment in August, an event hall in Texas teemed with hope, taquitos and unity.

It was a border-town stop for Beto O'Rourke's Senate campaign, but another Democratic politician commanded particular attention: Gina Ortiz Jones, a history-making congressional candidate — gay, Filipina-American, an Iraq war veteran — hoping to turn a majority-Hispanic district blue. "Really special person," Mr. O'Rourke said, as Ms. Jones stood and waved.

The article goes on to state the following:

But soon, a county chairwoman posed an uncomfortable question. Mr. O'Rourke had not endorsed Ms. Jones. In fact, he had elevated her Republican opponent, Representative Will Hurd, with frequent praise and, most memorably, a live-streamed bipartisan road trip that helped jump-start their midterm campaigns. Would Mr. O'Rourke support the Democrat?

REPORT: Dems lash out at Trump for recalling furloughed workers

Posted: 19 Jan 2019 09:55 AM PST

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by TheHill.com:

Democrats are becoming increasingly angered by the Trump administration's decision to call back furloughed federal workers, without pay, while the shutdown persists.

More and more workers at agencies with funding lapses are being told to report back to work, and in many cases the employees won't be paid until after the shutdown ends. Democrats worry that furloughed workers are being recalled on a piecemeal basis in order to further President Trump's political goals.

The article goes on to state the following:

"To force them to come back to work for no pay, it's ridiculous," said Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who represents a state with tens of thousands of federal employees. "And it's the president deciding which agencies he likes and which he doesn't. That's our job, not his."

EXCLUSIVE: Trump lashes out at Mexico for not stopping caravan, says none got through in Tijuana (VIDEO)

Posted: 19 Jan 2019 09:32 AM PST

Another caravan of Central American migrants is well on their way toward the U.S. border, after easily crossing Mexico’s southern border from Guatemala on Friday.

Reportedly, Mexico officials did nothing to stop the migrants from crossing, even leaving the gates wide open. Mexican officials reportedly did check migrants’ IDs and give them humanitarian visas good for a year.

President Trump lashed out at Mexico on Saturday, tweeting, “Mexico is doing NOTHING to stop the Caravan which is now fully formed and heading to the United States. We stopped the last two – many are still in Mexico but can't get through our Wall, but it takes a lot of Border Agents if there is no Wall. Not easy!”

The president also spoke with reporters outside the White House Saturday morning, and voiced his disappointment that Mexico hadn’t stopped the caravan.

“As you know the caravans are coming up, they have a big one coming up now. I’m disappointed that Mexico is not stopping them. I mean, Mexico seems, unfortunately, powerless to stop them,” he said.

“Many got through, they broke through the Mexico area… it seems they weren’t so well guarded,” he added.

“If you had a wall, we wouldn’t have a problem, but we don’t, we have too many open areas.  The walls we fixed and and the walls that we built hold beautifully, but we have a lot of open areas, and it is too bad,’ he said.

“Now, the previous caravans we stopped. They’re right now in Tijuana. I don’t know what they’re doing in Tijuana, but they’re not in our country, that I can tell you,” the president said.

However, contrary to President Trump’s statement, many of the migrants in Tijuana have in fact, climbed over the wall or tunneled under into the United States in small groups, and turned themselves in to Border Patrol agents. (Scroll down past the video for more on a RECORD number of illegal migrants just apprehended this week.)

On Friday, Border Patrol in Arizona announced that the largest single group of asylum seekers ever were just apprehended near Yuma, Arizona on Monday.

CBP said that a record 376 people, including 179 children, illegally crossed the border into the United States and turned themselves in to border agents.  They crossed in an area where a wall existed – by tunneling under it through 7 holes they dug under the wall.
