Episode 5.05 synopsis (via SpoilerTV): "Althea risks the mission and her life as she attempts to investigate a story."

"In "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 5, the group's mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what's left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (Lennie James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won't be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.

"Fear the Walking Dead" is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, as well as Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd and Greg Nicotero. Video Interview: Writer/Director Gary Dauberman Talks Taking the Filmmaking Reins for ANNABELLE COMES HOME

Posted: 25 Jun 2019 12:01 PM PDT

In a surprise move, Annabelle Comes Home will actually be arriving in theaters tonight instead of the usual Thursday evening early release, which makes the timing perfect to hear from the sequel's director and writer, Gary Dauberman, about the latest installment of the Annabelle series.

Dauberman is no stranger to the world of The Conjuring films, as he's written the scripts for both of the previous Annabelle movies in addition to Annabelle Comes Home, and he also handled writing duties on The Nun and produced both The Curse of La Llorona and The Nun as well. And as if all of that wasn't impressive enough, Dauberman has also worked on the scripts for both of the IT screenplays and is credited as the co-creator of the recent Swamp Thing series (based on the character created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson).

During the recent press day for Annabelle Comes Home, Dauberman discussed why the timing felt right for him to make the jump into directing with this sequel, and his thoughts on how the concepts of the film felt like a great way for him to mix things up a bit with Annabelle Comes Home. Dauberman also talked about how the endless prospects tucked away inside of the Warrens' artifact room excited him from a directing perspective and not just from a writing standpoint, and how there were even more evils he wanted to tap into here, but thought they might be better served in future films.

Check out our video interview with Gary Dauberman below, and look for Annabelle Comes Home to haunt theaters everywhere later tonight.

INTO THE DARK: CULTURE SHOCK Trailer Features an Ominous Version of the American Dream

Posted: 25 Jun 2019 11:24 AM PDT

"We're not paid to give them the American dream. We're paid to keep them out of it." A Mexican woman's border crossing into the United States takes a creepy turn into an eerily utopian society where all may not be what it seems in the trailer for Culture Shock, the July installment of Hulu and Blumhouse's Into the Dark horror anthology series.

Directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero from a screenplay written by James Benson, Efrén Hernández, and Guerrero, Culture Shock stars Martha Higareda, Barbara Crampton, Shawn Ashmore, Richard Cabral, Felipe de Lara, and Creed Bratton.

You can watch the official trailer below before Culture Shock premieres on Hulu beginning Thursday, July 4th.

"Told in Spanish and English, this thriller follows a young Mexican woman in pursuit of the American Dream, who crosses illegally into the United States, only to find herself in an American nightmare. The next installment of Blumhouse's Into the Dark premieres July 4, only on Hulu."

Generations Collide in the Trailer for Richard Bates Jr.’s TONE-DEAF

Posted: 25 Jun 2019 10:38 AM PDT

In her SXSW review of Tone-Deaf, Heather Wixson wrote that Richard Bates Jr. "explores the ongoing war between baby boomers and millennials," and following their acquisition of North American rights to Tone-Deaf back in March, Saban Films has now released the movie's first trailer that's filled with violent impulses, pitch-black humor, and a deadly generational divide.

Tone-Deaf is slated for a theatrical release in the US on August 23rd. Written and directed by Bates Jr., Tone-Deaf stars Robert Patrick, Amanda Crew, Hayley Marie Norman, Johnny Pemberton, Nancy Linehan Charles, AnnaLynne McCord, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Ray Wise, and Kim Delaney.

You can check out the official trailer and poster below, and in case you missed it, read Heather Wixson's SXSW interview with Bates Jr, Patrick, and Crew.

Synopsis: "Tone-Deaf follows millennial Olive (Crew) who, after losing her job and imploding her latest dysfunctional relationship, leaves the city for a weekend of peace in the country, only to discover the shockingly dark underbelly of rural America. She rents an eccentric, ornate country house from Harvey (Patrick), an old-fashioned widower who's struggling to hide his psychopathic tendencies. Soon two generations collide with terrifying results in this home invasion horror film that is also a darkly comedic critique of the bizarre cultural and political climate that currently exists."

Return to Horror Hotel Release Details: "Horror Hotel has released their newest anthology, Return To Horror Hotel, on streaming platform Amazon Prime. The franchise, which saw their first season on Hulu, began bundling up their short tales into anthology feature films a few years back. "This newest anthology has two new horror/sci-fi tales and we brought back a couple of earlier fan favorites to the mix as well," says creator/director Ricky Hess. "We have always tried to up our game with each new film and really pushed the creep factor and production value up especially with our two newest films, "Sleep Tight" and "No Time For Love".

"Sleep Tight" is a horror tale of giant creepy crawlers (bedbugs) that bite and ingest steroids from a bodybuilder staying at the motel. The bedbugs exponentially grow into monsters attacking unsuspecting guests at the hotel. "Will make your skin crawl and have you checking under the sheets" - HeSaidSheSaidMovies

"Sleep Tight" brought back returning Horror Hotel actors Baby Norman, Jeremy Michael Grey, RC Sayyah, and Darien Johnson. Others actors include Samuel Norman, Zoe Burgner, Nathan T. Evans, Candace VandiZandi, Jenny Hall, and Haji Abdullah.

"No Time For Love" is a sci-fi tale about a reclusive WWII sailor (Jason Gaglione) who sequestered himself away in his motel room after his ship sank and has not been seen for years. He has also not aged one day since then. A pretty bookstore clerk (Katrina Rarick) tricks her way into his room after hearing about the oddity from her boss (Mark Richard Prew) which triggers Davie's past to fast forward to the present. "Heartbreaking and Horrifying" - Rebeccah's Reviews

"Guillotine" is an older fan favorite from the first season. A magical charm cut from the guillotine of Maria Antoinette holds the power to turn girls into beauty queens. That's exactly what Doreen Grey (Stephanie Stevens) wants to win her next big beauty pageant. Along with her best pal Collette (Ann Marie Gideon Knezevich) she meets up with shady fence Al Sharko (James Edward Thomas) at the hotel to exchange her luxury car for the coveted relic. The transforming magic is demonstrated on both girls ratcheting up the tension as they both now want the charm for themselves. "Crazy good, strange and a must see!" - Fallon Gannon wickedhorror.com

"Houdini's Hand" is also a first season favorite featuring actors Tony Folden, Montrel Miller, James Edward Thomas, and Mike Bend. It's a horror tale surrounding the theft of the severed, mummified hand of magician Harry Houdini that is just not quite dead yet. Seems the supernatural 'hand' still maintains the ability to open safes, doors and anything else locked. Two petty burglars steal it from the present owner for their own uses and then suffer the consequences when it begins to terrorize them in their hotel room. "Delightfully twisted and thrilling" - What's Your Favorite Scary Movie

Return To Horror Hotel is Free to watch for Amazon Prime subscribers:
