IDEs initially became possible when developing via a console or terminal. Early systems could not support one, since programs were prepared using flowcharts, entering programs with punched cards (or paper tape, etc.) before submitting them to a compiler. Dartmouth BASIC was the first language to be created with an IDE (and was also the first to be designed for use while sitting in front of a console or terminal). Its IDE (part of the Dartmouth Time Sharing System) was command-based, and therefore did not look much like the menu-driven, graphical IDEs popular after the advent of the Graphical User Interface. However it integrated editing, file management, compilation, debugging and execution in a manner consistent with a modern IDE.

I've found quite a good article by FRANCESCO BORRI who makes a conclusion: "The only thing we can say with some degree of certainty is that, according to Constantine Porphyrogenitus, White Croatia was: 'somewhere in Central Europe near Bavaria, beyond Hungary and next to the Frankish empire'" Why he did not mention "Ukrainian Carpathians (including Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia)", I am surprised.--Nicoljaus (talk) 07:50, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

Empress of Asia was one of five ships that were carrying troops and military materiel and supplies to reinforce Singapore in the face of the rapid Japanese advance on the island following their successful conquest of British Malaya by the beginning of 1942. The convoy, designated BM.12, had come under an aerial attack in the Bangka Strait on 4 February 1942 and suffered only minor damage. It is very sad to see Wikipedians losing confidence in the open-access model of the "encyclopedia that anyone can edit". This talk page gets between 1,000 and 2,000 page views every day, but it is only edited a handful of time a day, and reverting occasional random vandalism is easy enough at the click of a button. Just go ahead and lock down the entire thing if you are so concerned about keeping it "safe".
