As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following information published by DAILYCALLER.COM:

Republican North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis announced new legislation Tuesday to protect the victims of illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities.

Tillis noted in a Tuesday press release that his inspiration for the legislation came from his home state, where he argues sanctuary policies have resulted in a dangerous environment for citizens:

The article goes on to state the following:

The Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act would "hold sanctuary jurisdictions accountable for failing to comply with lawful detainer and release notification requests made by federal authorities and jeopardizing public safety."

Tillis posted several statement on Twitter announcing the legislation Tuesday morning. He said Senators Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, Joni Ernst, Marsha Blackburn and Ted Cruz are co-sponsors of the bill.

BREAKING: Appeals court issues ruling on Trump blocking critical Twitter followers

Posted: 09 Jul 2019 09:35 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following information published by WASHINGTONEXAMINER.COM:

President Trump cannot block users on his favorite social media platform, Twitter, because they criticize him, a federal appeals court has ruled.

The Second Circuit Court of Appeals, based in New York, upheld a lower court ruling that such actions would be "unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination." Since Trump uses his account in a public capacity, blocking followers — which inhibits their ability to respond to and comment on the president’s tweets — would violate their First Amendment rights, the judges ruled.

The article goes on to state the following:

Trump's team had argued that he was using the account in the capacity of a private citizen, but the court demurred.

"The fact that any Twitter user can block another account does not mean that the President somehow becomes a private person when he does so," the judges wrote.

VIDEO: BET network founder praises Trump, warns Dems have moved ‘too far to the left’

Posted: 09 Jul 2019 09:27 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following information published by CNBC:

America's political establishment is riven with partisanship that has become "very wicked and very mean," said entrepreneur and media mogul Robert Johnson, who added that the Democratic Party has become too liberal for his liking.

"The party in my opinion, for me personally, has moved too far to the left," Johnson, the founder of cable network BET and RLJ Companies business network, told CNBC's Hadley Gamble Tuesday.

The article goes on to state the following:

"And for that reason, I don't have a particular candidate (I'm supporting) in the party at this time," he said. "I think at the end of the day, if a Democrat is going to beat Trump, then that person, he or she, will have to move to the center and you can't wait too long to do that."

CNBC said Johnson became the country's first African-American billionaire after selling Black Entertainment Television in 2001.

Johnson offered high praise for the U.S. economy and said you have to give President Trump credit for that.  WATCH his full remarks in the video below:

OpEd: Democrats calling for decriminalization of illegal entry abandoning national sovereignty

Posted: 09 Jul 2019 09:11 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following opinion editorial written by contributor Nolan Rappaport and published by TheHill.com:

Criminal entry to the United States is now a Democratic talking point — and it's worth considering how we got here and how far the Democrats have moved since liberal lion Sen. Ted Kennedy made the penalty for illegal entry more severe.

Section 1325 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) makes entering the United States without an inspection a crime. During the first  Democratic presidential debateJulian Castro insisted it should only be a civil offense, challenged his opponents to agree, and was lauded as a result.

Decriminalization would eliminate the statute's value as a deterrent, which was not only part of its original intent, but also was supported by both Republicans and Democrats until very recently.

The article goes on to state the following:

Controlling alien admissions is a core element of state sovereignty. The Supreme Court has held that Congress has absolute authority to control immigration by establishing rules for the admission, exclusion, and deportation of aliens.

The term “alien” means any person not a citizen or national of the United States.

The authority to establish such rules is meaningless when aliens avoid an inspection by crossing the border surreptitiously between ports of entry. And the government has no way of knowing how many aliens have entered that way, who they are, or what their intentions are.

Apparently, the Democrats are willing to sacrifice state sovereignty if it is necessary to remove Trump from the White House.

They have willfully denied that there is a border crisis and opposed his efforts to secure the border.

For instance, they have shifted attention from the crisis caused by the flood of illegal crossers pouring across the border to complaints about the way Trump is treating the crossers — and because they control the House of Representatives, they have been able to prevent him from getting the funding he needs to treat them properly.

REPORT: Graham open to investigating Acosta-Epstein plea deal

Posted: 09 Jul 2019 09:01 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following information published by TheHill.com:

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says he is open to hearings on the controversial plea deal Labor Secretary Alex Acosta struck with wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein in 2008 to resolve multiple allegations of sexual molestation.

"If this plea deal doesn't withstand scrutiny then it would be the job of the Judiciary Committee to find out how it got off the rails. What kind of checks and balances do we have to make sure that complaints involving minor children are adequately investigated? This is an area of the law where the tie goes to the kids," Graham told reporters Tuesday morning.

The article goes on to state the following:

"If we think somebody's out there abusing children, no matter how hard the case may be, you want to bring it forward simply to get these people deterred if nothing else," he added.

VIDEO: Protesters demand city council in Omar’s district reinstate Pledge of Allegiance | Trump, DML respond

Posted: 09 Jul 2019 08:16 AM PDT

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following information published by CBSLOCAL.COM:

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The St. Louis Park City Council is revisiting its decision to remove the Pledge of Allegiance from its meetings.

Five council members voted to drop the pledge last month. Since then, people across the community and country have responded.

The article goes on to state the following:

Even before council members met inside Monday evening for a study session, protesters were waiting outside.

"A lot of our culture is based on traditions. The Pledge of Allegiance, being patriots, is a part of that," said Jack Dunn, a veteran.

CBS reported that the city council was not planning to take public comments during the meeting, but the large crowd of protesters who filled the room would not be silenced, even reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the meeting, while city council members were trying to start without it.

"People are upset because evidently here in Minnesota we are playing around with their hallowed traditions," said council member Tim Brausen, who was interrupted by shouts.

Although the mayor and some city council members wanted to reinstate the pledge, other members said they still need more “community input” before making a decision, so the matter is to be addressed at their July 22 meeting.

President Trump commented on the case in a Twitter post Tuesday morning, saying, “Outrage is growing in the Great State of Minnesota where our Patriots are now having to fight for the right to say the Pledge of Allegiance. I will be fighting with you!”

DML News founder Dennis Michael Lynch also weighed in, warning, “This is the plan of radicals like @IlhanMN and until the US media wakes up to this, it’s bound to grow nationally.”

TRUMP TWEETS: Citizenship, Pledge of Allegiance, Food Stamps, Supreme Court and more!

Posted: 09 Jul 2019 07:58 AM PDT

President Trump blasted out a series of Twitter posts Tuesday morning, including statements on some issues he saw covered on Fox & Friends.

The president shared a quote by Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy, along with a response from himself. Trump tweeted:

"I agree with the President, the Supreme Court got it wrong. There should be a question about Citizenship on the Census. A.G. Barr sees a pathway to add the Citizenship Question." Steve Doocy @foxandfriends Working hard on something that should be so easy. People are fed up!

Trump commented on another case covered by Fox & Friends, about a city council in Minnesota (St. Louis Park City Council, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district) who are facing fury from the public over their decision to remove the Pledge of Allegiance from their city council meetings.  Trump tweeted:

Outrage is growing in the Great State of Minnesota where our Patriots are now having to fight for the right to say the Pledge of Allegiance. I will be fighting with you! @foxandfriends

Trump thanked Florida businessman Bruce Hrobak, who appeared on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning. Hrobak spoke at an environmental event at the White House on Monday and praised the president for what he is doing to help solve the “red tide” problem in Florida.  Trump tweeted:

"With President Trump at the helm, not only is America getting great again, but he's going to make our estuaries, our rivers, our water – everything better – the things he is doing, and done, are just helping America tremendously." Thank you to Bruce Hrobak @foxandfriends

The president commented on the lower number of Americans now using food stamps. He tweeted, “Food Stamp participation hits 10 year low. Wow! @OANN.”

Another brief comment was shared about trade with India. Trump tweeted:

India has long had a field day putting Tariffs on American products. No longer acceptable!

President Trump then addressed the ongoing battle over adding the citizenship question to the U.S. census, and the importance of the Supreme Court.  He tweeted:

Recent "strained" decisions by the United States Supreme Court, some so simple as allowing the question, "Are you a citizen of the United States" on our very expensive Census Report, or the even more strained decisions (2) allowing the world's most expensive & pathetic healthcare (Obamacare) to stay in place, when it would have been replaced by something far better, shows how incredibly important our upcoming 2020 Election is. I have long heard that the appointment of Supreme Court Justices is a President's most important decision. SO TRUE!
